The location is pretty great. Easy walk to BART/Muni and with a Clipper Card to the bus. I actually work in Oakland when in town. I stayed here and had a very easy commute both days. You've got all the choices of San Francisco at your fingertips. The hotel gym was pretty good, though someone who doesn't like a treadmill...

Really enjoyed our stay. Staff was helpful and nice! We will probably stay here again. Great location for restaurants. We especially enjoyed the Angel Cafe! Homeless people were a bit distracting, though.

The Marker San Fransisco is a nice boutique style hotel that is well situated, being a two minute walk from Union Sq. The room we stayed in wasn't quite what we expected from the photos, being a touch dated, but it wasn't really an issue as we had the whole of San Fransisco to explore and didn't spend much time...

Stayed 3 nights when touring the wine country. We had 7th floor queen room; nice quite on the top level. The front-desk is great when we were checking in; we arrived early before noon; they had the room available for us without extra charge. Our bed is very comfortable. Since we are out early and back in late everyday, we...

When we walked through the front doors into the lobby we were greeting by the friendly staff and an amazing living room with a magnificent fireplace. Our room and the service were well above par and we had a wonderful meal at Tratto. Great Anniversary Getaway! Perfect location for shopping, eating and enjoying the sights and sounds of the city.

We have been to this hotel many times, though only recently since it has been known as the "Marker". Previously it was the Monaco which was a Kimpton Hotel. Now it is being run by Intercontinental. They have kept many of the same touches. For example the décor is generally the same and they maintain the afternoon wine tasting. However,...

We experienced easy online booking, a small clean room, friendly front desk and bell staff, and excellent cleaning staff. Unfortunately the facility is in need of a significant upgrade. The bed was clean and well made but hard as a rock (and we like a firm mattress). The room was cramped and the side tables almost useless since there had...

We spent three nights at The Marker and we would highly recommend a visit. The staff is warm, friendly and engaging and nothing is too much trouble. The location is really central and makes getting around so easy, the prices are very reasonable and the evening wine hour was a huge plus for us! Our room was a good size...
