I stayed in the hotel part upstairs from reception and I'm having trouble understanding why there are so many average reviews. I thought this was a really good hotel. I love the way everything is so green, especially the hand washing tap on top of...More

South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized
streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.

Hello Johanna B,
Our neighborhood is rapidly changing. Formerly, this area was largely industrial area with inexpensive housing, small businesses and empty warehouses. Now Twitter, Dolby, the Alonso King Ballet School are breathing new life and foot traffic into the neighborhood. Like anywhere in the SF there are homeless people on the street and sadly public drug use is on the rise. We are committed to working with SFPD and other city services to ensure that our guests have a safe visit and that our property is secure. The Good Hotel team is proud of our diverse neighborhood and are happy answer any questions our guests have about visiting San Francisco.
