Room smelled damp/moldy, they don't have the breakfast they advertise because the restaurant is closed...someone mentioned a voucher but I didn't get one for any of my 3-night stay. Basically it's very outdated! Wouldn't recommend at all. Definitely not at the prices they charge.

So, you pay for breakfast included. Then you get there to learn restaurant closed but you get a voucher. The voucher gives you a 15% discount at a restaurant across the street! Fraud as far as I am concerned. Small rooms. Noisy. No HD TV. Way overpriced. Absolutely not recommended. Will not repeat ever

Hotel is right near the Cable Car line to Fishermans Wharf and the waterfront areas like Ghiradelli Square, Pier 39 and boat tours. Union Square is 2 blocks away and Chinatown is within walking distance. Since we were here in January, the fireplace in the contemporary lobby was constantly going. Very nice lobby for relaxation. Room was quite large with...

Great place to stay. Staff was very helpful. Very clean and close to lots of things to do. This was our first time in San Francisco and we liked that it was in walking distance to a lot of great places to see.

This hotel was recommended to me by my mother and her friend who both stayed here. It is a great hotel 2 streets up from Union Square. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms clean and nice.

Short 1-1/2 blocks to Chinatown main gate. Cable car goes right by corner to Fishermen Wharf but take Uber for 1/3 the price unless you haven't done the cable car yet. Good Italian food on corner at really reasonable prices and great food. Uncle Vito's

Everything about our stay here was easy, convenient, and pleasant. The best part is the hotel location - we walked to Chinatown and to Italian quarter. Our room was large with a very comfy king sized bed and plenty of room around, lovely shower room, free wifi and free wine every evening for an hour as well as the friendly...

The hotel is well located just minutes from chinatown and less than 10 minutes walk from union square. The bed was comfortable and the shower had good pressure and temperature, however the room is a bit small and there is not much space to pack. The climate control system worked properly. We arrived at the hotel around noon but were...

Our first visit to San Francisco and our Travel Agent booked us into the Executive Hotel Vintage Court. We were unsure of what the accommodation would be like but we were more than impressed with our room after being told by our daughter and son-in-law that their room in another hotel was very poky. We had plenty of room to...

We've been staying at Vintage Court for years. It has been redone and is very comfortable and nice. The rooms are not large, but they are not too small either. Public Parking is a block away, and is discounted for the hotel. They serve wine in the lobby every afternoon, which is nice and cozy and has a fireplace. The...

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
As the oldest in North America, San Francisco's Chinatown is an exotic experience. A unique neighbourhood decorated with colourful shops, historic streetlights, hanging lanterns, and pagoda roofs awaits behind the stone-carved dragon gates. Feast on dim sum at the tea houses, or meet the locals who gather at historic Portsmouth Square to play chess or practice Tai Chi. Fish markets, produce stands, tourist shops, jewelry stores, fortune tellers, temples and restaurants come together to create a world unto itself in this historic neighbourhood.
