Fantastic staff, very clean, charming room. The only slight draw back is how loud it was with the window open. Close the window and the garbage and recycling was diminished significantly tho. The staff and room made up for it. Very nice, safe hotel.

Nice boutique hotel in Union Square Area. The room was nice and clean with a large bathroom and a walk-in closet. Welcome with chilled champagne was a added bonus thanks to the VIP Expedia status of the hotel. Only thing that I would have loved was slightly larger size of the beds and some sort of view from the room....

Thank you for making our anniversary weekend so nice. Everyone there is so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the special gift of champagne and personal note of welcome and good wishes. Even though it's an old building, the location, the value and the wonderful people can't be beat.

The friendly and generous staff make this small hotel near Union Square a good choice for travelers looking for a central location and comfortable rooms. The shared spaces are nice and fairly modern. The rooms are pretty and comfortable. Ask for a room facing the interior courtyard if you're looking for quiet.

Great staff, hallway has a musty smell but not the rooms. The double room is very small. I happily upgraded to a king sized room. The location is perfect for union square. Great shopping and eating. I hope you enjoy

Everything was clean and comfortable. The hotel was a nice blend of an old, classic feel with modern comfort. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. Other I was traveling with who stayed at different hotels were not as happy. This was a good choice and I will definitely stay here again.

The staff members are very kind and courteous, they showed us much love and are very prompt in our need of service. The first room we got was very small so I asked if we can change it, without hesitation it was done right away. Thanks Villa Florance home away from home indeed!

The location was great, check in was a breeze too. However, we tried to call housekeeping a few times but no one answers the phone at all. This was a disappointment, and the toilet was kind of small. Perhaps, pillows could be changed as it was really too soft for our liking, I could feel the loose cotton inside the...

The hotel is really nice and the staff friendly. Location is central and you are in walking distance of shops, restaurants, museums, etc. what I did not take into consideration is that the cable cars run till midnight and start at 6 am again. We hardly got any sleep, since our room was facing street. A shame, because the beds...

Villa Florence is very well located for shopping and tourism. The staff is very helpful and polite. The room was comfortable and clean. The wifi was very poor in our room. There was an odd and unpleasant smell in the hallways.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Villa Florence offers 189 guest rooms, where the Italian-inspired theme continues in the rooms' furniture selection featuring cut velvet lounge chairs and large dramatic Peony flowers painted on the guest bed headboards. The flowers, reminiscent of Florentine flower markets, pair elegantly with bed pillows featuring the Fleur-des-Lis, the symbol of Florence. Each guestroom highlights the uniqueness of the building's architecture, featuring one-off pieces in each room, while the portraits in the guest room corridors are inspired by the Renaissance and evoke the spirit of art, literature, and learning. The whimsical photos in the guest room corridors were created by Liz Heras, a well-known Los Angeles-based graphic artist who creates custom graphic artwork for large-scale hotel projects nationwide. With ample room for the family, an intimate backdrop for romance, and upgraded amenities, Villa Florence will keep you connected to home. ... more   less
