Right in union square on the trolley car line , great location
It's an old hotel thats had a refurb its comfortable
Only draw back is it's noisy to be expected given location maybe the next refurb could include double glazed windows
This hotel was lovely, the staff were more than helpful. It is right in the heart of the city, its just yards from Union Square, handy for shopping and nightlife and about 30 mins at the most walk away from Pier 39. It is a...More

I loved this hotel, the location was sublime, the size of the room, superb, and the layout flowed with elegance. Cicero was the man, if you get a chance, please talk to him. I recommend being out the door by 5:30 a.m., to wake with...More
All things considered it's still a charming place to base your downtown forays during the holidays. They've made some changes in their entrance area that I personally found a little off-putting - with purses and an Ostrich with his head into the ceiling in a...More

Originally home to rallies supporting the Union Army in the Civil War, this grand square has become the city's premier shopping and entertainment district containing the largest number of upscale department stores, chic boutiques, art galleries and theatres in the city. It's a large open area where tourists and locals gather, watch cable cars and crowds go by, enjoy a snack, or plan their day of shopping and
sightseeing, If feeling the pulsating energy of the city is on your agenda, Union Square is the place to soak it in.

The room we stayed in was lovely. Not large but we were only there for one night so it didn't matter. The location is superb - walk out the door and you are almost in Union Square. There is no restaurant but you don't need one. San Francisco is full of restaurants very close by. You want to get out there and enjoy - not be stuck in the hotel. I would stay there again. The staff were very friendly and helpful - some of the best I have found in SFO. Good luck with whatever you decide
