A Valet employee named (Daniel) was extremely rude. You would expect to have excellent customer service in valet for $60 a night!! I was very disappointed with the service. Will never stay here ever again.

You know the place has absolutely no amenities when they list the brand of shampoo/lotion under their list of amenities. The room had no extras at all. I was under the assumption that upon arrival there would be champagne and chocolate, but there was none, not that it's all that important but it would have been nice. The bed wasn't...

My wife and I enjoy this hotel very much! Sarah at the front desk was wonderful. She greeted us like family (the kind that you like, not the kind you avoid). She also greeted us by name every time we walked by for four days. The room was charming. We will be back!

This hotel more than met our expectations. We have stayed here before and had a good experience as well. The hotel is on Powell, same street as the famous trolley, which we took to the wharf on one of our days. Hotel staff were very pleasant and professional.

My husband and I wanted a quick get-a-way to San Francisco for the weekend. You couldn't ask for a better location. The rooms are small, but clean. The hotel is old, but elegant. Perfect for the price. it had all the amenities we needed, plus fridge in the room and free coffee in the morning. Complimentary champagne was an added...

Upon arrival, we found that the restaurant Kuekletos had been shuttered and the unloading zone was being used by construction workers. Not to worry though, as I hurry to unload bags in a mild rain I get met at entry by bellman that then helps with luggage. After parking and returning to check in we are met by a very...

The room was clean and spacious with walk in closet. Convenient location and staff was great. We had a drainage problem in the tub, called to the front desk and we were in another room within 10 minutes. Will be back to stay again.

Loved the location, but I was not a fan of the room we stayed in. For the price i paid I pretty much just paid for location. The room was spacious but it was nothing special, the bathroom was big enough but the shower was hand held and there was no separation from the floor and the shower it was...

Hotel and rooms were very nice. Only items to note is that the valet parking expensive and not coordinated very well. Didn't feel like the valet/parking service matched the price paid. Would recommend self parking in garage nearby as hotel extremely difficult to access by car. Also, when checking out the representative asked how we liked the complimentary champagne hour...

It was a good stay but needs to be a little cleaner we saw two cockroaches during our stay one in the room and the other next to the coffee machine at business center. But front desk was very friendly!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Villa Florence offers 189 guest rooms, where the Italian-inspired theme continues in the rooms' furniture selection featuring cut velvet lounge chairs and large dramatic Peony flowers painted on the guest bed headboards. The flowers, reminiscent of Florentine flower markets, pair elegantly with bed pillows featuring the Fleur-des-Lis, the symbol of Florence. Each guestroom highlights the uniqueness of the building's architecture, featuring one-off pieces in each room, while the portraits in the guest room corridors are inspired by the Renaissance and evoke the spirit of art, literature, and learning. The whimsical photos in the guest room corridors were created by Liz Heras, a well-known Los Angeles-based graphic artist who creates custom graphic artwork for large-scale hotel projects nationwide. With ample room for the family, an intimate backdrop for romance, and upgraded amenities, Villa Florence will keep you connected to home. ... more   less
