Greetings, I enjoyed your staff's hospitality. I have stayed with you a number of times over the years and this time felt different. I really felt your staff went the extra mile to accommodate us. I have enjoyed other rooms more in the past. room 608 was a tad small, but otherwise a great stay

This hotel has the best location! Most of the attractions are in walking distance. Really nice and friendly staff. I asked them to switch my room to the one with better view, they nicely showed me other options and let me to decide. The staff also let me to checked in earlier in the morning. Big clean rooms with walking...

Good location. Good room. Nice comfortable bed. San Francisco traffic was horrible but expected. Everything was clean. Holiday time of year so a little chaotic but festive. Would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.

The hotel itself is great, staff was friendly, right in the middle of Union Square. Union Square is very busy getting your car to the very small valet section can be difficult, we came in on the opposite side and it took forever to be able to get to the next street so we could park back in the valet...

It was ok There was a strange odor in the elevator and in the hall. My wife described it as urine. It wasn't right Service was good One thing that was very inconvenient was that your coffee bar didn't open until 7:30. Made us go out in the rain to Starbucks. I wasn't the only one. The lobby was full...

You need a shelf above the sink. TO plug in a curling iron or shaver you have to put it on the shelf above the toilet. It is a tripping hazard. There is only a rain shower head in the tub. For those of us who don't want to get our hair wet it is near to impossible. The fan/heater/...

This hotel had a very chic look. The rooms were small but well decorated & comfortable. The room I was in was facing Powell street on the 6th floor and every night it was extremely noisy. Like unbearably so. There was live music, street cars, honking, pedestrians fighting. All keeping me up both nights of my stay and often times...

The heaters in the room were terrible. I stayed at the hotel along with 3 other colleagues in separate rooms, and everyone had issues with their room being far too cold. Check in took a very long time, as there was only one person working when we arrived (11am). Although there was only one person ahead of me in line,...

The hotel is Downtown so very handy for shops and restaurants. In fact Maceys is a stones throw away....although probably illegal to throw a stone to prove it. Reception area is wide and airy with pleasant efficient staff. Breakfast area of the restaurant is worn out but just walk to the other side for a great lively bar and food...

Definitively, a very convenient location to be in center of the life in San Francisco! In plus the staff is amazing about kindness and serviceful. We sincerely come back again, that's sure! Close of stores, restaurants, cable car, enjoying all the life of the city. Also a good restaurant for breakfast and dinner.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Villa Florence offers 189 guest rooms, where the Italian-inspired theme continues in the rooms' furniture selection featuring cut velvet lounge chairs and large dramatic Peony flowers painted on the guest bed headboards. The flowers, reminiscent of Florentine flower markets, pair elegantly with bed pillows featuring the Fleur-des-Lis, the symbol of Florence. Each guestroom highlights the uniqueness of the building's architecture, featuring one-off pieces in each room, while the portraits in the guest room corridors are inspired by the Renaissance and evoke the spirit of art, literature, and learning. The whimsical photos in the guest room corridors were created by Liz Heras, a well-known Los Angeles-based graphic artist who creates custom graphic artwork for large-scale hotel projects nationwide. With ample room for the family, an intimate backdrop for romance, and upgraded amenities, Villa Florence will keep you connected to home. ... more   less
