The Donatello hotel is located near Union Square, so it's handy to bus lines, restaurants, stores and the cable car routes. My husband and I took our 13-year old grandson for his first trip to San Francisco. We had a large room (they say 400 sq. ft), with a king size bed, sleeper couch, large screen TV with DVD player....

The Donatello was all that we had heard. Great location, great price, great staff, clean and very comfortable beds! Just make sure you visit the bar at Happy Hour, otherwise it's a tad expensive! We had a wonderful stay there.

I agree with all the favourable reviews, the room was large clean and comfortable, service was friendly, the club lounge was great, concierge helpful and location was excellent. Got a room on 10th floor, no noise and slept well. Coffee maker was useful and I would definitely stay again. Didnt use the fitness centre, jacuzzi or sauna that were all...

This is a great hotel that I stayed in strictly because of trip advisor's recommendation. The oversize king room was very clean, with lots of amenities. I appreciated the nightly turn down service, the kitchenette in the room with nice dishes and flatware (just in case you didn't want to eat your delivery dinner out of a box), the in...

I frequent Ruby Skye and have most often stayed at the Clift. The Donatello Hotel came highly recommended from a good friend. I finally heeded my friend's advice and booked a room here last Friday. We were welcomed by two friendly and unpretentious staff behind the counter and checked in in little over two minutes. They told us about the...

My wife and I started our first California trip at the Donatello. After a short ride from the airport the valet took care of our car and we checked in easily. We slept well and started our first full day out with a massage quickly arrenged by the concierge. The staff was very friendly and the location provided easy access...

My wife and I stayed at the Donatello for 2 nights when visiting San Francisco. This hotel is great value and in an unbeatable position - just a short walk to Union Square and the Powell Street Trolley line. The staff are really helpful and the rooms quite large and comfortable. The only minus is that it's somewhat noisy at...

Can't say enough about how great everyone was, extremely courteous, helpful, pleasant, go out of there way to make sure everything was right at all times. From the Bell Hop, the Front Desk, the Parking Garage attendee, to the House Keeper. The Lounge and the Restaurant included, plus the food was FABULOUS!

Stayed here for 3 nights while vacationing in San Franscico. It was a very good location right near the Powell street trolly car line. Lots of restraunts in the area and a short walk to Union Square. The staff at the hotel were outstanding. Very helpful with any questions we had for them. The room itself is an average hotel...
