Stayed here for a week for business and it was all I could ask for from a business hotel. It was very clean, quiet and had a great restaurant and gym. The View lounge at the top was a great place for a cocktail. I wouldn't really recommend it for kids because it was very formal and I would think...

This hotel is more downtown and not really near the touristy areas but you can get to the wharf using public transit. This is a great hotel though very clean everyone one was very friendly but purely for location if I go back to San Francisco I would spend the extra money and stay closer to the water.

I stayed here for a conference in May. I was worried at first about staying at the same hotel as the conference since I'd never get out but this hotel has some good shopping nearby. It's also walking distance to some more tourist areas (if you like to walk). Alcatraz ferry is about a 20 minute wall or so. Saw...

My family and I opted to spend Christmas season in Marriott Marquis SF. It was our first time in SF that's why we chose this hotel. It was very easy to find, we took the train from airport and this hotel was located very close to the train station. It is strategically located, close to almost all the tourist spots....

To tour the city this is the hotel! If you love to walk, you could actually walk to many of the major attractions! Great staff and service. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting San Francisco.

My wife and I stayed here in April and thoroughly enjoyed it. The location is perfect, rooms were spacious and clean and the hotel provided free WIFI. The bar at the top of the hotel is an excellent way to see the California sunset.

We had a great time and enjoyed our room to its fullest. The hotel is located centrally and the staff was friendly and helpful. Great places to eat in close walking distance. Easy access to the cable car for a early 20th Century ride to Fisherman's Wharf.

Traveling with two other women on a girls trip ( all of us are grandmothers) and had a late arrival due to late flight. We were told that the 2 double beds we had reserved weren't available. The gentleman at the desk told us he would give us a room on a upper floor that had 1 queen and a...

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
