The location is right downtown. As usual in such hotel, the facilities are great. The differentiator: I met Ron, the concierge, and he made my experience a blast! It is awesome to feel that enthusiasm while receiving a very high level of service. Say hello to him!

This Marriott was in a great location - walk everywhere! It was big enough to have all the amenities, along with, of course, the high price of a big city hotel. Lobby areas expansive and comfortable. Every employee was nice and helpful and really went out of their way to be nice. That said, the measure of hotel is the...

Hello Allieooooops, Thank you for staying with us and for the kind words regarding the great service and hotel location for exploring San Francisco. Comfort is a top priority and we are very sorry your bed did not provide a restful night’s sleep. We have shared your feedback with our engineering team to ensure we are constantly evaluating the beds...

Slightly dated furnishings/bathroom, but totally fine. Central location. Every single person on staff was super friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Unusual outside of a Ritz-Carlton! The breakfast buffet was incredible- unlike anything I've ever seen at a Meridien or similar. Truly amazingly good but very pricey!!

Nice hotel in a good location. Crazy expensive, but friendly staff, etc. I was just there on business travel, so I didn't really take advantage of all the amenities. The View was OK but crowded...walked in then left. The Concierge Lounge was big, but nice. The gym was actually pretty fantastic. Cardio upstairs and plenty of weights/machines downstairs.

Nothing fancy when it comes to the Hotel with the exception of the Concierge offerings and the View. The hotel room was basic although I was upgraded to a larger room due to being Platinum. I did not really notice anything different with the room so I am happy for the upgrade. The View was spectacular but pricey and very...

I enjoyed every moment of my stay. I was particularly thrilled by the professional way in which the hotel handled a fire alarm. Although it later turned out to be a false alarm, the handling and follow-up later impressed me.

My 5th floor room was kind of noisy and the amenities did not equal the price per night, even at my corporate rate, but this is in San Fran. My first visit to this city and the hotel was my home for five nights. Try the View bar on the 39th floor for a spectacular view of the city at...

I stayed at the Marriott Marquis for a conference. Usually I dread staying at conference hotels because of the high volume of people, but the layout of this hotel made it seem a lot less crowded. Even though attendance was high, we did not have to wait long in the nice little market to buy breakfast in the morning. We...

Enjoyed my stay while attending a meeting at the Moscone Convention Center. With Elite status privileges, the access to a buffet breakfast, snacks and other meals on the 2nd floor lounge, I managed to stay on my low sodium diet. The staff was so helpful and even prepared some lovely fresh salmon and veggies, especially for me! The room was...

We stayed at the Marriott Marquis during a combined business & pleasure trip. The property was conveniently located in walking distance to the financial district and a short cab ride to most attractions. The staff was extremely friendly, lobby restaurant was great for breakfast & lunch and The View bar on the 39th Fl was amazing. Will definitely stay here...

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
