We bought the executive package which gave us access to the executive lounge. Breakfast, cocktails and snacks in the evening, and water and soft drinks all day. Very nice perk. Hotel is in a great location. But parking was steep- 50 a night.

Hotel was very clean, and the view was amazing. We were on the 27th floor (room 2701) and the view was beautiful. It was in walking distance or short cab ride to the major tourist spots. I would recommend self park over valet (30$ compared $60). Beds were comfy and the room was very clean. My only complaint would be;...

Even though the beds were slightly on the oversoft side, the hotel location is good. Walking distance to Union Square and Embarcadero next to Chinatown. Very clean. Lobby activity was really hopping! Would not walk the area at night or alone.

Hotel staff were excellent, friendly and always available to help. Room was clean and had great views of the SF Bay. Staff helped me arrange something special for my wife's birthday and made it special for her. Executive floor was very nice and had good quality food and drinks each night.

I found the rooms dark, dingy and dated. My room had a yellow tainted tinge to it as if it were nicotine stained all over. The decor is very depressing with marks on the walls and bathroom furnishings. Bedding seemed limp and creased before I even slept on it. I expect a hotel bed to feel crisp and fresh. Location...

Stayed at the Hilton for 4 nights. The rooms are a good size and the bed was beyond comfy. The location is more China Town than Financial District. The location is about 10 minutes to Union Square/Market St and 20 to Fishermans Wharf. The surrounding area of the hotel is a bit scruffy in places. China Town itself is not...

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend in this hotel. It is used by Virgin Atlantic for their crew, and the crew seem to like it as much as I do. Great location, nice rooms, and wonderful shower. All I look for in a hotel. Plenty of great restaurants nearby.

Staying in Financial District

Neighbourhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
