Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.

The hilton is a nice hotel if somewhat dated. The rooms are a good size and the amenities are good. We stayed on the 10th floor. The main issues are there are only four elevators so you spend a lot of time waiting. The other disappointment was the noise. The plumbing is noisy, yo

Old, used, tired, lower than any other Hilton. This is a flagship in a major financial district. The building is old but no remodelling has been carried out in more than 15 years! Internet is the worst, even the premium @ a fee... Lounge is ludicrous and reserved to Diamond. Brea

First, the location was great - walking distance to the financial district and Chinatown. Second, the rooms were not great - they need to be totally overhauled (the desk was very beat up) and the bathroom needs a total redo. The exhaust fan sounded like it was going to take fligh

Have the windows been recently cleaned? In the past many reviews had described the windows as being so dirty that it was difficult to appreciate any view that may have been beyond them.
Hello, yes the windows are being cleaned as we speak! The window washing project is due to be completed by the end of the week. We can't wait to show off sparkling clean windows to showcase our stunning bay view and city views from our guest rooms. Guest feedback such as yours has helped make this project possible. Thank you!

Is booking on the executive floor to receive executive benefits worth it?
If you want the free breakfast and food in the concierge lounge, then yes. However the hallways and rooms on these floors have not been renovated and what appears to be many years. The walls are also tissue paper thin at best. So if you don’t mind affective we sharing a room with your neighbor, and not being able to go to sleep until they are done talking, I would skip the executive floor and most likely the hotel in general.
