The hotel is located right off Market street, steps from Civic Center station. You’ll reach the airport in 25 minutes using BART. However, the area is full of homeless people who might appear scary to the first time visitor. Nevertheless, the homeless aren’t dangerous and...More
Comfortable place to stay, great beds, large fridge and clean with great housekeeping. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
Yes there are many rough sleepers but I saw this all over San Francisco. We were usually back at hotel by 10pm - probably not...More
The hotel itself, despite being located in a questionable part of town, was fine--rooms were a little dated and tired with noise and restaurant/kitchen smells coming through the vents, but they did the job.
The staff (both hotel and IHG office), however, were appalling. They...More
I have stayed at this hotel a few times over the past year for business. Hotel staff are friendly but the building itself is a little tired. Located at the ‘wrong end’ of Market Street, it isn’t in the best part of the downtown area....More

Also Known As
Holiday Inn Civic Center (San Francisco) Hotel San Francisco ,
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized
streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
Sorry for the late response - we have just returned from two weeks in Cuba. I can't answer your question about parking as we were part of a coach tour but the parking facility seemed to be well managed.
