Debated on whether to give this an average or poor rating. First, the pictures on the website don't look anything like the rooms. Kimpton hotels usually have charming rooms and this one was somewhat plain and small (and I had booked a larger room - can't imagine what the smaller one looks like). I understand that many hotels have rooms...

It's obvious to me that we did not get it right here, I am so very sorry that this was your experience, and would love to talk to you more about it. If you would like to contact me, please do melinda.macfarlane@harborcourthotel.com. Thank you, Melinda

Not a bad value for what you get. It's clean, had a friendly staff, and is in a safe - convenient location. The rooms are small , but so what! It's San Francisco... Go outside and explore! Any city worth seeing has small rooms (because you aren't meant to do much more but sleep in them) Id stay again and...

Fair disclosure - I am a fan of Kimpton hotels in general. I like the design aesthetic, I like the little amenities they offer (e.g. they are dog friendly, not that I've ever brought my dog, but I like the idea I could!). The evening wine receptions (again, never taken advantage, but it's a nice touch) and the water/coffee/hot chocolate/tea...

The hotel gave the 2 of us the tiniest room ever! I can't believe they had the gall to charge over $260 for a room that would be cramped even for 1 person. Adding insult to injury, as we're checking in, the front desk staff asked us if we would like to upgrade. REALLY???!!!! Two people from Kimpton staff should...

Yikes...I don't know which room you were in, but we do have rooms which have only one full bed, and it is definitely not meant for more than one person, although guests can absolutley still try to fit two if they'd like. Tell you what...if you decide you'd like to give us another chance, I would absolutely love to make...

Major urban centers are a hotel headache for me. They require compromise. It's nearly impossible to find places that are well designed, immaculately maintained, with a high level of service, yet at an affordable price. I say *nearly impossible* because I surely have found just such a place in San Francisco! The Harbor Court Hotel was a fantastic surprise: the...

I stayed at the Harbor Court on a recent business trip and throughly enjoyed the experience. By choice (price) the room I stayed in was small and had no view, but the amenities were great including flat screen TV, great bed, and free internet (member of their frequent club). The staff was friendly and helped me figure out the best...

This hotel is a great choice for a stay in San Francisco. Close to BART station, which enabled us to easily exit the airport and jump on BART to the city, walk a short distance toward the Ferry Building and we were at the hotel. Liked the location, close to bus stop and the embarcadero fun, especially the Sat. morning...

I recently stayed at the Harbor Court Hotel in San Francisco for overnight business travel. It is difficult to find reasonable accomodations in San Francisco and I was apprehensive about my stay because I obtained the room at a reasonable rate and they actually had vacancies. I generally have had to stay south of San Francisco if I wanted accomodations...

The rooms are very small and most have a terrible view on a wall. Furnitures are old and not really usable for staying. In the room i had, the only way to put my luggage on the luggage seat was to put it in front of the exit door! Staff is not really helpful and doesn't care about you. After...

I had to look twice to make sure this review was really for my hotel. Wow...I am so sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay with us! Admittedly, we have some small rooms, but if there's one thing that I take pride in, it's my team's consistent genuine care for our guests. I would honestly love to talk to you...

The biggest asset of this hotel is the location. We could look out the window and gape at the Bay Bridge that was located only 2 blocks from the hotel. We could walk out the door and be on the Embarcadero; we were 2 blocks from the streetcar stop and the Ferry Building; and we were right in the middle...

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
