Purchased a vacation package on Priceline and this was the hotel that it chose. Only the bare necessities, i.e. bed, sink, shower and TV. I knew what to expect based on the reviews so it helped to not come with expectations. Actually it's better if you first view it in the daylight...seriously. Location is great - sandwiched between the financial...

Expectations, expectations. We were told that San Francisco hotel rooms are rather small. This comes with no exception. If you are just looking for a place to stay with the day constantly outside, this hotel is rather comfortable and also in a really prized location in Chinatown. Nothing extraordinary happened but we did have a very good night's rest.

We stayed here for the evening of the Chinese New Year's Parade. You definitely get what you pay for. It's not the Ritz-Carlton, but it was only $88 and $25 for parking. That's a great deal, for a great location. The room was small, but clean enough. We had 2 'twin' beds and roll-in for our 19 year old daughter....

Firstly the pictures on the site may have been photo shopped as when you click on the Location tab of their website it shows the hotel with a tram car out side. this is not the case, there is no tram stop on the street and none pass through it. However about 5 or 6 minutes walk there is one...

I stayed here for a week on a business trip and I changed rooms four times. The first time I changed because they offered me a queen size bed instead of two single beds. But the heater in that room (410 I think it was) woke me up in the early morning when it let out steam, which produced a...

If you're looking to head to San Francisco and spend 70 bucks a night to feel like you have been wrongfully imprisoned in chateau d'if then this is the hotel for you. Aside from the fact that the rooms are cartoonishly small and stink of bleach, there is no A/C and even in winter, when my wife and I went,...

The rooms are tiny, and awful. Hotel Staff is not at all helpful whatsoever. I got 2 rooms for 70$ each per night but not worth it. The biggest catch is there is no parking for the hotel, they have some garage for the parking but that is a paid parking for 25$ a day. and that is also 2...

This hotel(??) is TERRIBLE. No customer service whatsoever. The rooms are SO small but you will be out all day so doesn't matter so much but just be warned. They have the noisest heater in the room and we asked to switch ours off but it's automatic for whole hotel so we couldn't turn it off. I had to take...

San Francisco. One of America's pricier cities. Here is the Grant Plaza, offering rooms with private bath for $85 a night. For this bargain-basement price compared to other SF options, I had a clean and comfortable room. Amenities? Not really, but again, $85 a night. The Chinatown location is convenient to sites and transportation. The staff was polite and I...

Chinatown
As the oldest in North America, San Francisco's Chinatown is an exotic experience. A unique neighbourhood decorated with colourful shops, historic streetlights, hanging lanterns, and pagoda roofs awaits behind the stone-carved dragon gates. Feast on dim sum at the tea houses, or meet the locals who gather at historic Portsmouth Square to play chess or practice Tai Chi. Fish markets, produce stands, tourist shops, jewelry stores, fortune tellers, temples and restaurants come together to create a world unto itself in this historic neighbourhood.
