The motel is located in an area that is a bit dodgy, in the north borderline with the tenderloin district. You may expect to see unwanted people walking around (and I'm not just talking about homeless persons, which are common everywhere around the city anyway). The most difficult part of the stay is that the stairs are locked, and the...

Fairly clean rooms. Free parking garages. Not really close to the purrs, but it is cheap compared to others. Safe and reasonably clean. Friendly staff. Would stay again. It is the cheapest location downtown at all.

The rooms were clean and the location was fairly close to the places we wanted to visit. This motel is great for someone trying to stay close to sights without paying twice as much for other hotels. The free parking was a nice perk and it was not filled up at any point during this visit. The Internet connection was...

I found this hotel after looking for weeks. We happened to pick a busy few days to visit San Francisco and 80% of hotels were taken! A lot of the hotels had shared bathrooms so the motel was definitely winning with a private bathroom. Our main purpose was to go to the Dutch Consulate. It was less than a 20...

We spent 3 nights at this hotel during the winter vacations. Pros: (1) 15 min walking to the Union Square. (2) Free parking lot (though it's not gurantee: in case you don't get it you may spend >35$ per night in a public parking nearby). (3) relatively cheap ($122/night). (4) a receptionist with glasses is very knowledgeable about the city....

Affordable hotel in very expensive city. Room was big and clean. The twin beds were so big so can sleep 3 people each bed because they have policy kids stay free. Room was very basic (no fridge, no microwave, no electric kettle, etc) only beds, tv, AC and bathroom. You can have coffee and tea for free every morning in...

Family stayed here for 3 nights. It is located walking distance to union Square area although it is actually located in the neighbouring Tenderloin area which has traditionally been a lower socio economic district and it still shows. A lot of homelessness and drugs on the street although i think surrounding streets were worse than Geary Street. The hotel is...

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room spacious, tidy and clean. Bed okay. Unfortunately the water was only lukewarm in the morning when I wanted to take a shower. The neighborhood does not seem too safe. But if you don't plan to walk around at night and need a well priced, decent room down town, this Motel6 is a good option.

Basic hotel in good location for union square etc but on edge of rough area - lot of homeless/mental health problems/drug dealing (saw it on corner outside hotel) However this homeless situation is apparent wherever we went so do not be put off from outside. Clean basic accommodation. Helpful staff. Wifi. Food places nearby. Good value. Free parking. Would go...

Stayed for 2 nights. Booked on booking.com and could only get smoking room when doing so but on checking in Susan was able to move things around and got us non smoking. Susan was very helpful and advised us where to go which was great. Hotel is not in the best area but the location is fine. It's 10 min...

“No frills! They do have blow dryers and irons at the desk if you ask. Bring toiletries, they only supply small bar soaps. Room was very clean and spacious. Our belongings were never bothered. Very friendly and helpful desk staff. Great choice for the adventurous!”
