Do NOT stay at this hotel. It is a filthy hotel, nothing works, nothing nearby, the man at the front desk is rude and can’t speak or understand English. We asked for a few extra towels and he said no, the water was randomly turned...More

The L-Taraval (one block from Days Inn) will take you all the way to the Embarcadero Station. You will then walk 3 minutes to Market and Main where you can board the F line (toward Jones and Beach Sts). You'll disembark at the Embarcadero-Sansome stop where you can then take a scenic five minute walk to Pier 33. Depending upon the time of day, total travel should take a little over an hour. Tip: Always get a transfer ticket even if you think you may not use it. It's valid for 90 minutes of travel in the same direction (except on the cable cars). With a mobile app I think you’ll find the SFMTA (the Muni system plus cable cars and trolleys) quite user-friendly. Enjoy the various views of The City.
