Had a preium queen room- spacious ans very comfy. Breakfast was geat, both the service and food. Maid service is spotty- no replacement of tea or glasses , no floor cleaning just made the bed and took the garbage but not a big deal. Teas are available ib main floor tea/coffee room. This hotel is well located in Bush Street just off Powell Street so there is easy access to the cable cars. The rooms are relatively small compared with what you might get in a modern motel but that is made up for by the quaint décor, including the old style elevator. Anyone who has stayed in the older apartments in...

A colleague and I stayed in the hotel during a weeklong conference. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. Lots of closet and storage space which made sharing a room very easy. The staff were extremely accommodating and gave us a personal experience. I would definitely recommend a visit here and I would stay here in the future.

This is the second time my daughter and I have stayed here. We love the charm and comfort as well as being just a block or two from the crowds. This time we came to see Swan Lake . We were anticipating a pre-ballet dinner at their excellent Restaurant Jeanne D'Arc but is was closed for renovations. No problem, another...

Loved our stay at Cornell Hotel de France! The room was small but beautifully decorated. Great location, great staff and breakfast was very good. We opened the windows to enjoy the sound of trolley cars. I would highly recommend this unique hotel.

Quaint and comfortable stay in an area lacking reasonably priced hotels. Attentive and helpful staff...has a B&B feel. Breakfast feels like a step back into the French countryside. Funky neighborhood...but that's the best and worst of SF! I'll be back.

This hotel has lots of character and old world charm with a french theme. The staff are fantastic and the breakfast was the best we have had anywhere. Very comfortable beds, our room had everything we needed. The view from the window was a brick shaft that let in light but that was the only negative that i can think...

My husband and I stayed in this magical little French hotel for 4 nights. It is quaint, clean, incredibly beautiful, perfectly positioned for easy access to all of SF sites. A wonderful duo serenade during breakfast. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Charming little hotel in Nob Hill area. I mixed up the dates and arrived on the wrong day; the staff could not have been nicer in rearranging our reservation. Rooms were clean and decently sized, staff was very accommodating and the location was excellent. Tasty breakfast with live French music included! I would definitely stay here again.

Sent confirmation email for rezervation with 15% discount for their restaurant. Nice, but the restaurant was closed for renovation...thanks. Breakfast until 9am. Saw the hostess turn away 2 ladies at 9:15. Really, I believe customer service needs to be better.

Dear dmicu94, Very sorry for your disappointment. Our restaurant was not closed for renovation. Our two chefs had to go to hospital at the same time: one for a triple hernia and the other one for a recurring cancer. We still did not reopen. The breakfast cook is also the janitor and the waitresses the cleaning ladies so time for...
