I feel so fortunate to have found this gem of a hotel! It is a very special place and extremely well run. My first priority is cleanliness and they do an awesome job here. This property is unique in many ways with European charm in the center of San Francisco. I would like to give special recognition to Franck who was so welcoming and so kind to our family!! During these times of Covid, breakfast cannot be served in their amazing restaurant but the croissants etc which were delivered to our room each morning were superbe !!!!
The staff did an excellent job providing a warm welcome and detailed personalized service. The room was clean and comfortable. There were many touches we appreciated such as the attention to cleanliness and abundant sanitizer. We went out for a bite and came back to cold wanted and a small baggie of chocolates for each of us. The staff really went the extra mile to anticipate and provide for both our spoken and unspoken needs. Truly the meaning of 5-star service.
My 16yr old daughter and I came to San Francisco for a short 3 night getaway and what a wonderful time we had. From beginning to end Frank made our trip and stay wonderful! I was concerned about safety just in general and the location of the hotel feels extremely safe. The rooms were SPOTLESS and I mean SPOTLESS! Every morning our breakfast of warm croissants, orange , juice, yogurt and fresh fruit we’re waiting for us. We without question will stay here again and I encourage anyone who can to support this lovely local hotel!
This is a very old hotel with plenty of history, small rooms but very clean and great helpful staff. There is so much to do in San Fran I am guessing you will not be inside the hotel for long. This makes this hotel ideal, good price and great location for all you need to do durning your visit. Recommend Alcatraz, trip over the bridge to muir woods were you will find the biggest trees you have ever seen! Worth getting a pass for the big bus tour, we got a 2 day pass you can see so much on there and you can get on and off as many times as you want so like a free taxi once you have paid for the pass. You have to have a ride on the trams and a visit to the famous pier 39. Coit tower is worth a quick visit, Japanese tea gardens was cool and then there is Lombard street which you have to visit. Most of the places I have listed can be done by hopping on and off the big bus. …
I have stayed at this hotel about 8 times. I travel to San Francisco often for business and have stayed at many hotels. This is the best value by far for the location. The rooms are lovely and super clean. My recent stay was first since the pandemic. COVID19 protocols were followed carefully and I felt very safe.
