Awful Worst hotel in my life I've stayed in EVER DO NOT STAY HERE Arrived. Lift wasn't working and trip advisor guests have said this has been going on since JUNE. we were on 5th floor 4 cases and were told after a 24 hour trip if we didn't like it we could have our money bk by mercedes. The room in 3 days was not cleaned once despite putting a note on door saying please clean. Was told they missed it....twice. don't have a clue what 30 dollers resort fee per night plus 250 dollers deposit was for.... Should have paid us to stay there on top of that bar was not open And 250 deposit you do not get bk for 5 Days 4 of us in a room we had zero room to swing a cat Stairs as lift broken dated and dirty and never cleaned Awful Thanks bijou for ruining our experience of San Francisco you should be made up that you ruin holidays for what????…
When we found this hotel on here it looked lovely! We booked it for our stay in San Francisco and then when we turned up the fun began! The hotel had a homeless man in a tent living outside playing music from a boom box all night and day who the hotel knew by name so he had probably been there a while. The lift wasn’t working so for my heavily pregnant wife 2 flights of stairs did not help! When we opened the door to the room we found that the lights were missing from the light holdings, and we had no running water in the shower! We changed rooms and ended up on a room facing the street so were treated to 24 hour boom box music all night! A shocking stay avoid this hotel as it is dated and clearly needs some work doing to it. On the positive it is in a good location with most things 10 to 20 minutes walk away…
This hotel was very cute and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately when we visited the elevator was broken and we were on the fourth floor. Other than the broken elevator the hotel was excellent. The beds are extremely bouncy.
The hotel is clean, and overall comfortable. Staff is very nice. Unfortunately the elevator was broken during my visit and the hotel is located next to a halfway house in a bad part of town. The staff friendly, but did not feel super safe entering and leaving the hotel.
I was very disappointed in the stability of internet services and speed. This must be improved. Hot breakfast (eggs and bacon were good quality, but consistency 30 min late in coming out. Frequent shouting on street a distraction at night.
As per similar reviews, I would echo the poor location of the hotel (appreciate that the hotel can’t do anything about the issues outside on street). Hotel staff were mostly friendly and talkative. Rooms were standard and what you need on a small trip. Bit cramped if you are sharing a room with another person. Note: rooms weren’t cleaned/checked during our entire stay. Things like the bathroom or room bins weren’t changed. Only personal downside was when checking out, I wasn’t too happy with how they billed us for breakfast. To explain, we didn’t have breakfast included in the stay and as standard, added it on when required. 2/3 days we stayed, we had breakfast included. When we checked-in, I asked if I could pay for breakfast separately on each of the occasions we eat at the buffet. No problem, paid on mornings and all squared up. When we checked out, it came to my attention that one of the reception staff had taken it upon themselves to charge me breakfast on my credit card for the days I had used, meaning that I paid twice on checkout. The receptionist quickly realised this and proceeded with a refund (just complicated check out.) Note: if you’ve never visited the U.S before, be aware that everyone wants your money! For anything & everything.…
The staff here was amazing! They dealt with a lot of traffic (given the location...not the best the location) but they were so kind, helpful, and friendly. My boyfriend and I especially appreciated Samuel. He was great!
5 stars for this Hotel as Blanca made our stay a pleasurable experience as she made us feel welcomed and happy. A family vacation to San Francisco from Los Angeles was made for us a fantastic stay for my family as the location and price and service were the best!!
The staff here are really helpful and friendly. We were given a really nice corner room, big comfy bed and freestanding bath - however was really quite noisy at night. So for the other two nights we requested a room change and were given a smaller room on the back which was much quieter. The only downside to the place is that the area is not good - unfortunately there is a lot of homeless people and drug users around this area, which made me feel quite unsafe at night. However there was quite a bit of this all over San Francisco. Overall hotel and staff really good, just wish the area had of been a bit better.
I am going to be very honest here. I am writing this from my room at 1:30 am in the morning because I cannot sleep as the room next to mine is blaring their TV. These are the positives of the hotel: 1. Clean rooms 2. Location is close to city hub, shopping and things to do 3. Rooms are clean 4. Hotel staff are very nice 5. TV in room 6. Free internet 7. Nice restaurant and bar inside hotel (somewhat expensive) 8. Free coffee all day long 10. Old style feel to hotel like you've stepped back in time. Nice old fashioned clawfooted tub and a terry cloth robe. 11. There is a safe in room 12. The room rate was lower than other nearby hotels. These are some observations which you may not like: 1. Elevator was not working and I had to walk up the very steep and skinny staircase. I'm fat. It is good exercise tho. They said I could have a free breakfast to accommodate the elevator being out. My time hasn't coincided with breakfast, so I don't know what the breakfast is like. 2. There is no air conditioning. Fans are provided. There is heat though. Windows do open. 3. No microwave or fridge in rooms. Not a big deal if you don't have leftovers. 4. You will be charged a refundable deposit of $100.00. Negatives: 1. Omg! The noise. It will destroy you. There is a club nearby and the weekend was miserable. People screaming all night long. 2. Did I mention the noise? If it's not coming from the inside it's coming from the outside. Traffic, boom boxes, horns, the mentally ill, club goers - it is truly a nightmare. I'm sorry, but no amount of charm can overcome it. Today someone screamed under my window for a solid 6 hours. When they finally left another person filled the void with a boom box and more screaming and yelling. I really have no words. 4. They are doing construction across the street and they are using pneumatic drills and the noise sounds like it is in your room. 5. Did I mention the noise? The room next to mine has the television turned up full blast at (now 2:00) in the morning this minute. Maybe they are trying to drown out the street noise. Regardless, I am very tired. 6. Not really the hotel's fault, but there are a few homeless folks outside the door sleeping on a big mattress with their dog. One of them constructed a home out of plywood when I was there. He also has a boombox. (Yay!) They ask for cigarettes and money when you are getting your key out to gain entry. It's somewhat scary, especially at night. I feel sorry for the hotels and businesses in the area. Covid has harmed them and the homeless problem is doing even more harm. The noise is probably a construction issue and would require major construction and upgrades. So if you decide to stay here, probably bring your noise canceling headphones if you want some rest. …
