The room was spartan but certainly clean and comfortable. There was noise outside at night from homeless people on an adjacent street. Given the price and the clean comfortable room this hotel is a very good deal.

Dear Gordana, Thank you for spending your New Year's Eve with us here at Hotel Bijou. It is true that we are in the Tenderloin, but we are just feet away from downtown San Francisco and outside of the Tenderloin. The team works hard to ensure that our guests feel taken care of. Be on the lookout for our renovated...

the hotel itself was perfect for what I needed for my NYE stay. Nothing fancy. My room was clean & comfortable. The staff, especially Nanette who checked me in and Eric was incredibly helpful. They offered a glass of wine upon check-in, had free coffee/tea in the lobby 24/7 and offered a free breakfast to-go back in the am if...

Dear Derrick, Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your New Year's Eve celebrations in San Francisco. Our housekeeping team works hard to make sure that our guests are comfortable in their home away from home. As you experienced first hand, our location and proximity to the things to do in San Francisco, makes us an excellent...

Excellent location and extremely helpful, friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them. It is right in the centre and a two minute walk from the many shops and tram trips. There is a huge homeless problem but my daughter and I felt very safe. The hotel itself is a bit tired looking, but, we would not hesitate to...

A comfortable independent hotel in an excellent position. The staff were very helpful from the welcoming drink and free street map on arrival, to the exceptional help from Cicero who was on duty overnight. Not only did he have excellent local knowledge but because we needed a travel bag, he provided us with information so that we complied with airline...

Look this little quaint hotel. Each room has its own name and I stayed in "Mrs Doubtfire". The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was great. Despite there were a few homeless people, I felt quite safe and they were actually quite harmless. Will stay in this hotel again.

Dear Constance T, Mrs. Doubtfire is one of my favorite films and stars one of our Bay Area Native Sons (Mr. Williams is from Marin across the Golden Gate). Our location does provide great access to transportation and major sights to see in San Francisco. Like any other big city, we have more than our fair share of transients in...

Our family spent 3 nights at the hotel recently. The staff were always attentive and considerate even before one of our family had a serious fall while on a tour of the city's sights. The location is very central but I would advise against staying here if you are female and traveling alone. There are tons of homeless at all times of the day. There were a couple of times I felt unsafe. It is not the hotels fault but I feel like you should know these things. The rooms are small but have...
