I stayed there for 1 night. The hotel is centrally located but very basic compared to the rate I paid. I paid $300 which should not be for a 3 star hotel which lack many facilities.
The room is really tiny with street view. Hotel...More
We stayed here for 4 nights room was clean and comfortable, only thing was no security box/safe in the room which was a little inconvenient location was good, a short walk to union square, with plenty of restaurants and shops, transport nearby, a good choice

The location is actually on the edge of the city's most emabahrasing, sad and undesirable neighborhood, the Tenderloin. Although Marriott uses the title "Union Square" to attract business, some believe and prefer to say it's Lower Nob Hill. I believe neither. It doesn't matter technically...More

Thank you for considering our hotel. The garbage is picked up on the front of the building on Post Street. No large steel dumpsters, just plastic residential ones so it is not as noisy as traditional commercial dumpsters. We do have rooms on the lower level, below street level. What they lack in a view, they make up for by being the quietest rooms in the hotel, and the largest. If a quiet environment is your primary consideration, I highly recommend a room on that level.
