I wanted to like this unique place. But as soon as we checked in and put water in the refrigerator we had fish that was left from prior guest in it in. Disgusting!! The sink did not drain properly and there was dirt and other food and wrappers underneath couches and behind dressers as well as dirt on towels. The bigger issue was when it was brought up to the front desk he said he was reporting it to housekeeping and management, yet no one ever contacted me or brought it up again to assure me that the room was clean or that they would come in and make sure it was clean now. With Covid and monkey pox all over the city, totally unacceptable and unsanitary. The hotel is in a horrible neighborhood and they only have one security guard at the main door so it feels very unsafe especially if you were out after dark. It is relatively close to bus lines and BART. No food for sale here. Walgreens down the street but bare shelves. Beware and only stay if you are ok with unclean rooms. We had the biggest suite as well and they still couldn’t clean it! Unacceptable.…
Good hotel, central location, clean and they were very accomodating. Pleasant stay and hospitable. Front desk clerks were helpful and proactive, the Jasper restaurant within the hotel was good value. The one complaint was the security guard (skinny younger guy with darker hair). Every time i went into the hotel, he was stone faced or glued to his phone...
This is a beautifully renovated and decorated hotel in a very central San Francisco location. Our room was very spacious with a very comfortable king bed and a comfy sofa pullout too. Clean and spacious.
We stayed overnight at this beautiful hotel. The Superior Suite was very nice and worth it. Views were nice and very spacious. We were welcomed to our room with some freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. I’m not sure if that was supposed to be included but a nice touch. I know no one has control of availability but we had requested early check in(for fee) with no luck. However, a very nice young lady at the desk named Kimberly did all she could to get us into the room. She was very sweet and kind. The two gentlemen who were security were also very nice and helpful with our bags. Definitely recommend Hotel Spero for future visits.
We spend 2 beatiful days in this hotel. All staff was very nice and helped us with everything we needed. The room was clean and comfortable. The position of the hotel is good to go everywhere in the city on foot.
In the heart of San Francisco Staff is beyond friendly. Everything went smoothly from check in to check out. Very elegant and clean smaller rooms but you don’t need a massive room when you’re on vacation exploring the city. Jaspers, the restaurant connected to it, was open early and closed late. Very convenient.
The hotel is beautiful and very clean plus centrally located. They offer coffee in the mornings from 7-10 am but it would be nice if they also offer some sort of to-go breakfast items. My only complaint is the amount of homelessness around the area which makes the surrounding area look dirty and unsafe.
The hotel is beautiful! I saw reviews that the rooms are small so I ordered a suite. It was amazing. Beautifully decorated, very spacious and VERY clean. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. The lobby is so trendy and chic. I will definitely return!
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are nicely appointed and clean. The area is convenient to walking to good shopping and restaurants. There is a parking garage next to the hotel if you drive into the city that is convenient.
Such a cute hotel. The suites are exactly what I would want my SF apartment to look/feel like. I don't recommend staying here if planning to Uber instead of bringing a car. Parking is a hassle, and the area isn't very visually pleasing or recommended as walkable.
