This hotel was a great find. This is a quaint boutique hotel that is great value for where it is located. We walked everywhere from here. Yes the rooms are a bit dated but very clean and amazing service. We had a superior king room and had no issues with the size of the room. As many other reviews have stated the elevator is a little slow but you can easily take the stairs if you don’t want to wait. We would definitely stay here again.
I enjoyed my stay very much at the hotel King George. Jay and Vivian were particularly helpful kind and courteous. They shared details about travel sites restaurants etc. that made my trip much easier to navigate they also were very professional in the way they handled themselves. I will stay here again and I will tell my friends great experience. David Duckworth
Very pleasant stay at the King George Hotel on Mason Street near Union Square. The hotel was reasonable which is uncommon in this area and city. It exceeded my expectations. Rooms were immaculate if the furniture was a little well used. I would happily stay here again. Having only 1 small elevator for a property this size is annoying but not a deal -breaker. It was an exercise in patience, which I can always use.
We planned a trip with my two friends and I. We went for the DODGERS vs Giants game. Jay was amazing at making sure we were taken care of. Hotel is walking distance from Oracle park, also a parking garage across the street, with restaurants just walking distance. GO DODGERS!! Thank you Jay for the great experience.
We chose this hotel because of the location for getting to the trolley, a Hop-on Hop-off tour stop, the local bus system, and the nearby BART system. For this it did not disappoint. The price is reasonable, and the hotel was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. From this, I digress. The noise level during the nights, was that a very loud level. All from external. Sirens, music, loud cars and trucks going by, garbage trucks in the middle of the night, quite a bit of yelling, and the like. Normal ear plugs did not help. If you stay here, you will need some heavy duty ear plugs. We get up earlier and the hotel lobby coffee was not ready ever before 7:00 a.m. there is coffee in the room, however if you need real creamer, you'll be out of luck until 7:00 approximately. Not a terrible review, just want people to be aware.…
This is a great hotel. Especially want to thank Jol for his great service. Hotel is in good neighboorhood and rooms looked very good and where clean. Especially as the hotel has a great price to value ratio. Would come back to this place whenever I come back to SF. Thanks Jol!
This was our first trip to San Francisco and although the hotel is very close to Union Square, it is quite a long walk to Pier 39, you can get on the tram which starts very close to the hotel. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and the lobby area is lovely, unfortunately the new bar was not open, but is apparently due to open soon. We went to the liquor store on the corner and had our own drinks in the lobby area. The rooms are dated and in need of renovation, there is no air conditioning but there is a ceiling fan and the window did open enough to get some air. We had a note through the door saying they needed to access the room to measure the windows so maybe this means the hotel is being renovated. We had an issue with the Wi-Fi, reception gave us a password when we arrived but when we tried to access it it didn't ask for a password and said it was potentially unsafe. We mentioned this to reception and they said they would raise it with their IT, but while we were there this didn't change. We didn't use it due to potential security issues and went elsewhere to access Wi-Fi. If we visited San Francisco again we would consider staying here again, depending on the price.…
The location is great as it is in Union Squre and near to many tourist spots and sights. Our room is quite cozy. and super clean. The staffs were very friendly, warm, and accommodating, especially Jeremy, Vivian, and Elizabeth. I would definitely go back and I highly recommend the place!!
The staff here are excellent. Especially Elizabeth, Abdul and Jay. They went out of their way to cater to our every need. They were concerned with our safety, comfort and enjoyment. Recommended great places to eat and great advice on travel routes (which busses to take, trolley stations, etc.). We thoroughly enjoyed our stime there and would happily stay with them again. Thank you guys for all you did to make our stay wonderful!!!
This is the third time I visited here and I have to say, I had the very best time! Jay & Jeremy are treasures and I think their great service should be rewarded. I can’t wait to come back! Thank you much!❤️
