San Francisco is definitely an expensive place to go and stay. We stayed in one of there Deluxe room and had a view on Powell street which was cool. We didn't find it really noisy like some other comments I've read . The bed was comfortable enough. Everything was clean and the staff was really friendly. The only comment I...

We were very disappointed when we got to our room it looked nothing like the nice pictures and is just a very stripped back hostel style room. The photos show picture frames, a nice chair etc but we had none of that. We actually said to ourselves is this seriously the right room?? I understand not all rooms are the...

We stayed in a room with shared bathroom facilities. The room itself was clean and was great for a couple of nights in San Francisco. However, right next to our room only seperated through a locked door was the bathroom of the adjacent hotel room. We could hear everything our neighbors did, especially when they came in at 2 am...

It wasn't the best, but it definitely wasn't the worst. My boyfriend and I stayed in a room with a queen sized bed and a shared bathroom. The room itself looked quite nice. As for the shared bathroom, I was a little thrown off and it took some getting used to. I'm not sure exactly what I was expecting, but...

Apologies for the late review. I and my wife stopped at the Herbert for 4 nights over the Christmas period (travel dates were 24th December to 27th December 2015) and had a wonderful time. We utilised the BART from the Airport and found no issue with reaching our arrival destination at Powell Street station. The Hotel is so easy to...

I stayed here on business with a colleague as it was marketed as such and I'm afraid we found it lacking compared to other 3* options - limited desk space, self service laundry only, no areas to meet a contact for a coffee. My colleague described it as a 'very upscale backpacker's hostel' and this seems apt - I would...

We enjoyed our stay, the room was minimal, we had a bathroom and all was clean. A kettle!!! and a fridge - a wonderful sight for weary Australian's who prefer tea. The bed was comfy and the overhead fan worked well, but as the night was warm, the room was stuffy with the window closed, so we decided to embrace...

I recently finished up a week long stay at the Herbert Hotel and figured it would be useful to recap my experience there to help future travelers down the road. Herbert Hotel is an ex-residential hotel (which actually still has at least five residential tenants, scattered around the building) that likely dates from a few years following the early 1900's...

Herbert was just what we needed for one night, though we would have been fine if we stayed longer. We booked a room w/ shared bathroom but we're pleasantly surprised when we checked in to learn we were upgraded to a room w/ private bath, probably due to the fact that we were there on a Tuesday for just one...

Stayed here one night. Location: amazing, right on the path of the famous Cable Cars. Room: not much, but pleasant and clean. Bed: very good. Bathroom: bare minimum. Not even a tissue box. Sink is outside the bathroom, actually in the room.
