We were very happy in this hotel. It is extremely central - close to Union Square and Chinatown - and that is extremely important I would say. I loved the flavoured water in the lobby and I found Jess particularly helpful with local suggestions. We had ample hot water immediately available for showers and baths. Also a nice breakfast with...

We stayed here at the start of our honeymoon. The room, although small and warm was clean and the shower was brilliant, never had a problem with hot water. Breakfast was nice, go early to avoid crowds! It was quiet and we both felt safe. The water in the lobby was perfect, a lovely touch.

This value-priced hotel is in an excellent location. Walk to Chinatown, Union Square shopping area and the starting point for the two routes for the cable cars. It is a quaint old-fashioned hotel with a small cage lift which we found amusing. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. They offer a free continental breakfast which was nice. Most importantly,...

The staff is pleasant and knowledgeable. The rooms are tiny - ours had a double bed and no air conditioning. But, that being said, the windows opened easily and there was a fabulous ceiling fan. This hotel reminds me of a European 2-star hotel. The elevator has an old-fashioned gate and the continental breakfast is very nice and was included...

If you're looking for a fancy upscale corporate experience, do not choose the Fitzgerald. Each room is a bit different with its own unique charm, the building is older built in the early 1900s apparently. We stayed in San Fran two nights and basically walked the city - our hotel being in a very convenient location enabling us to come...

I was staying at Fitzgerald hotel for a couple of nights while on a business trip in SF. I would not recommend the place for the following reasons: - very unfriendly and not helpful staff - bad smell in the room - hotel water ever works (after 15mins of waiting) - elevator often does not work, neither

+ Location in the center, near the Union Square + Easily accessible from the Airport by Bart (Powell St. Station) - Roos are really extremely small - Breakfests with very limited supply - Time to time a problem with hot water

The location of the Fitzgerald is just two blocks from Union Square, which is excellent for a San Francisco visit. It's walking distance shops and from any form of mass transit (including cable car). Breakfast was exactly how I liked it. Loads of coffee and options for breads and cereals. Staff was also very friendly and helpful. On the negative...

This hotel is very close to union square, clean, breakfast correct, room extremely small with small double bed, no wardrobe and view to a huge white wall. Extremely expensive hotel compared to the standards offered. There are many other area which will be cheaper and much.more interesting in SF: Castro, mission, north beach, marina, haight Ashbury. I guess that is...
