Yes, the hotel recently got a renovation, but it is already seeing wear. The water in my shower was backwards, my back was red for days. Upon check in I told the front desk that the bedding on my bed was stained......they never got swapped out. The walls are so thin that you can hear the conversations going on in the rooms next to you.
The view from the upper floors is fantastic. The rooms are neat, modern, and feature USB outlets, night lamps, and a huge TV. The bed was the most comfortable of the three hotels I've recently visited in the area. The staff is especially friendly and helpful. In particular, Sara went the extra mile to make sure I have a fantastic stay - thanks!
I asked for a 4pm checkout yet, when I returned from an excursion at around 1pm, my room had been cleaned as if I'd checked out (threw away my soaps and other toiletries) so my room key didn't work. When I went down to the front desk, I asked Mike (I think that was his name; he was an Asian man) why my key didn't work and he said, "I don't know" rather dismissively. There was no apology for the inconvenience or anything.
This is a beautiful hotel in a nice area in a San Francisco. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We booked a corner suite but it was extremely small and the view was of the roof of another building. We asked for a new room and they gave us a city view room on a higher floor. The bathrooms are small and I wish there was a door for the shower but other than that it’s a nice bathroom. The gym is great. Lots of equipment and space. I would stay here again.
This hotel was perfect for my 1-night stay while in SF for business. I had a king room on the 19th floor, with lovely south-facing views from my floor-to-ceiling window. The room was modern, clean, and nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable, and I appreciate the varied firmness of the pillows. The mood lighting in the room was also a cool feature. My room was very quiet, and the A/C worked well. The front desk staff was efficient and friendly. The Market (convenience store in the lobby) was perfect for grabbing snacks and a bottle of water. Great stay in a walkable area of town. Will definitely consider staying here again when I return to San Francisco.
I enjoyed the hotel and there were quite a few nice touches, which included a glass carafe for water, tv was a great size, and I could watch Netflix. The hotel staff were responsive, especially when I was trapped in the check in line/valet. I’d love to see a QR code for tips.
Average hotel in a great location. Very low service quality (rude receptionists, slow response to needs, etc.) Expensive - especially comparing to the service level. Would not recommend at all to anyone.
We had such a positive experience at this hotel. Sometimes, it’s hard to pick the perfect hotel when you are unfamiliar with the area, but we found it. Everything was clean & the staff was super nice.
Great value for the price. We come to SF at least yearly and never actually stayed in the city bc it’s so pricey so we have always stayed in nearby cities and would drive into SF to sightsee. Found this place for about $230 per night after tax and the extra fees which is reasonable for SF. Also the parking fees were always a deterrent for me. The parking fee here is just as high as other SF hotels it was about $70 day but I chose this hotel after reading some reviews about using a remote lot for much cheaper. We found the Hearst parking lot literally right across the street for about $20 for 24 hr. We were worried about the No in and out privileges but you really don’t wanna be driving around in the city anyway with all the traffic and having to find parking. We just parked our car there for three nights and took the bus within SF to get around everywhere. It was great. Hotel is in Financial District which seemed cleaner than other parts of the city. So many shops and restaurants within walking distance. They didn’t have anymore rooms with two queen beds so I requested a roll away bed for our daughter and they provided one for no extra charge and it was a legit twin size mattress and so comfy. Room was clean and stocked with all u need like full size toiletries. Also appreciated the free Wi-Fi. The only draw back was the slow elevator which wouldn’t be a problem except for bus-full of kids who were also visiting at the same time. Overall we were very happy with our stay and will stay here again.…
Came for one night while in San Francisco. Checked in as a Globablist member. No real upgrade given except a standard room on the club level but their club is closed. We were give 2 breakfast coupons to use in their marketplace which we did use. Nice lobby area with lots of space. Room was typical to smaller size. Had every amenity available and a great bed. Glass showed with a cut out to turn the water on was very genius. Valet was $63 plus Tax but free if you used Hyatt points which I did. Lots of restaurants around the restaurant and about 2 miles from the wharf and 25 minutes from the airport. This hotel has only been a Hyatt for 4 months.
