The calibre of service at this hotel is excellent! It is the little things that count in this regard. For example the turn down service...blinds drawn, slippers put out, soft music playing, water by the bed, room tidied again, it was all lovely. Our housekeeper "Amy" was the best! We were bothered a bit by the construction going on at...

I had a love/hate relationship with this hotel. The Location is great and close to everything in Downtown. The layout, design, and decor are beautiful, however everything else seemed to fall shy. My biggest issue was the fact that everyday necessities weren't provided in room. (Iron, ironing board, Coffee, etc) At a hotel of this caliber and price, you would...

This was our first visit to the St. Regis San Francisco, and it didn't disappoint. The location is perfect. It's near Union Square and wonderful shopping. Our main purpose was to watch the Brewers play the Giants. We wanted a hotel close enough to the stadium so we could walk back after the game. It was a very easy walk...

We were well attended to and cared for at the St. Regis. We were constantly surprised by the pleasant and attentive service. Another pleasant surprise was the restaurant. Our family had a lovely meal that was truly farm to table and was orchestrated by a knowledgable staff. The location is in an amazing location for getting to museums without being...

Stayed here for our first stop on our honeymoon. The hotel is clean, well decorated and in a great location. Upon arrival and as SPG members, we inquired about getting upgraded. The front desk staff let us know that we could have an upgrade for that night but then would have to move the next day, which we found weird....

We stayed 2 nights at the St. Regis. Loved it. Cozy bar/lounge in the lobby with a great gas fireplace. Large rooms with a huge flat screen TV and also a TV in the bathroom. Very friendly and helpful staff. The housekeeping staff cleans thoroughly every day. Very comfortable beds. Room service was prompt and good. Great location. Would definitely...

Truly a 5 star hotel! This is gonna be a quick one! We stayed here in Jan 2014 for a few nights and had a fab stay. The location is central, the building is beautiful with nice, chilled atmosphere in the lobby and it's restaurant. Our standard room was very big with stylish furniture an calming grey/brown colour way interior....

St. Regis San Francisco never disappoints me. Perfect bedding, friendly and professional staff. The rooms are always very clean and the staff is very professional. Room service always lets me know exactly when my food will arrive. It's the little details that makes a trip good to great. As much as the hotel itself is in tip top condition the...

I've stayed here about 8 times in the past for both work and vacation, and the st. Regis is my favorite hotel to stay in sf. I love the quiet ambiance and the killer gym at the place. Rooms aren't overly big, but decor is chic and the bathrooms are fab glam. While four seasons tends to be my favorite of...

I love this hotel and stay here often. If you choose to stay here you may want to note two things. There is a big construction project at the MOMA next door so you may want to ask for a room not facing the construction. The other point s that the hotel bar, lounge and lobby tends to get packed...

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
