For the price this place was clean, friendly, private, artsy and good location near Union Square and the Chinatown Gate. I had to stay in San Fran for just one night and didn't feel like paying the going rate of $440 of other places in the city. I was a solo female and felt safe. The room was not large,...

Great location and very accessible to all the place of interest and good food near chinatown. Room is great with towels and toiletries provided. Hot water is fast too. Breakfast is very basic. Grey line hop on stop is just 2 mins walk from the hotel, walk from BART is less than 10 mins. Chinatown is just in front of...

The hotel was in a good location. Within easy walking distance of Union Square and Chinatown. The artwork in the room and hotel common areas was really well done. We stayed in a room that was meant to be for 6 people. It was actually a room with two queen beds and an adjoining room with a small futon in....

I'm staying in the black room which is really depressing. No aircon forces you to sleep with the window open while the homeless fight and go thru the garbage in the back alley! As a bonus the breskfast is really crappy! Probably one of the bottom 5 hotels I've ever stayed at

My wife and I spent two nights at the Hotel des Arts and we really don't have any complaints that warrant calling attention to. As mentioned in all descriptions of the hotel, each room is designed/curated by a different artist. Our room, which after some research, seems to be labeled as the "Unabomber Room." A sorta get why people would...

This hotel is decorated by local artists, not only with paintings but also themed rooms. Sometimes it works well, sometimes not..... Our room, 307, was themed on what I would call elderly hoarder/log cabin. It's decorations included old piles of paper tied up with string, bottles of nails, old light bulbs, collections of kettles, frypans and other stuff, and perhaps...

This hotel as it says in the name has funky art everywhere. The rooms are comfortable the shower over a claw bath and bed excellent, with nice white linen and towels. Hotel staff were helpful. Hotel is 5 mins walk from Union Sq, try the Irish bar next door. Breakfast finished a bit early and certainly by 830 you were...

I never actually fulfilled my stay here due to work commitments. However, before my stay they were extremely helpful with any questions I had. Then once I had to cancel they were very understanding and responded to all messages swiftly. Certainly makes me want to deal with them again in the future. A little kindness goes a long way!
