So the lobby and breakfast area were bright and colorfully decorated with various artworks, however our room was dimly lit with a very dark painting on the wall. As expected the room was basic, with the bathroom sink next to the front door??? Some things about the room just reminded me of a horror movie, and when arriving in the... More

Hotel good location for China town, public transport and shopping. Hotel felt very tired, room was grim, we had blue room, windows open on to roof space, very dark - poor lighting. Bathroom tiny, with shower over high sided bath. Complementary breakfast poor, but it is complementary. Only went down on first day. Was advised on check in to take... More

This hotel is perfectly located in the center of the city and accesible to all the transportation. I really like the overall decoration on the hotel a the "art feeling" that it gives. However, we never knew we had to share a bathroom in the hall until we got there. The room was very hot and the bed wasn't the... More

The hotel is perfectly located next to the main entrance of China town and not far from all main places to visit in the city. Many of the attractions are walking distance (Union square, shopping mauls, embarcadero...). The only thing that should be improve is the breakfast, a little bit more choice would be nice. Finally worth asking for a... More

Really cool rooms, good breakfast, great location, nice staff. the hotel itself feels like an art galery. In an expensive city, this was a good value for money experience. Walking distance from Union Square and with good restaurants in ghe neighborhood. Only one complaint: no milk at breakfast.

For the price this place was clean, friendly, private, artsy and good location near Union Square and the Chinatown Gate. I had to stay in San Fran for just one night and didn't feel like paying the going rate of $440 of other places in the city. I was a solo female and felt safe. The room was not large,... More

Great location and very accessible to all the place of interest and good food near chinatown. Room is great with towels and toiletries provided. Hot water is fast too. Breakfast is very basic. Grey line hop on stop is just 2 mins walk from the hotel, walk from BART is less than 10 mins. Chinatown is just in front of... More

The hotel was in a good location. Within easy walking distance of Union Square and Chinatown. The artwork in the room and hotel common areas was really well done. We stayed in a room that was meant to be for 6 people. It was actually a room with two queen beds and an adjoining room with a small futon in.... More

I'm staying in the black room which is really depressing. No aircon forces you to sleep with the window open while the homeless fight and go thru the garbage in the back alley! As a bonus the breskfast is really crappy! Probably one of the bottom 5 hotels I've ever stayed at
