It's a motel though it is listed in TripAdvisor as a B&B. Two levels of rooms (book upstairs), small parking lot (get there mid-afternoon if you want a parking place) but in a great location on Lombard St. We walked east to Fisherman's Wharf during the day and west to Chestnut Street at night. We did not use the car...

What a little gem! The place was spotless and clean. Service at the front desk was pleasant. The rooms were pleasant and the beds super comfortable. Location was within walking distance to fisherman's wharf and to mel's diner. We would definitely consider another stay here prior to another cruise.

If I could do 1 star i would. So much to go into so I'll try spare you...owner is rude and shady, husband speaks no english and is left at the front desk sometimes. Owner gets very defensive when asked about rate information and bill details. Not helpful at all when we asked for help regarding transportation and neighborhood information....

Rooms are nice but small. Breakfast was poor. Fire alarm went off in room at 3am and beeped every 15 minutes throughout the night. Called the front desk but got no answer. Explained what a poor nights sleep we had received, I thought a discount would be in order. She said she would get it fixed after we had checked...

This place has a great location off of Lombard Street. Parking is free, but tight and limited! A rarity in SF. Room was clean! Two complaints are horrible towels and improper sheets on bed! It's a no frills kind of stay, but it served the purpose as I am hardly in a room when vacationing!

A few streets from the 'seaside' but is well positioned to explore San Francisco. Parking on site - we parked our car for 5 nights & did not need to use it while here. We had a room no. 205 upstairs, no lift, no in-room safe. The bed was really comfortable with good linen. The air conditioner is noisy &...

Welcome at the Seaside-motel. By now you found out that hotels in San Francisco are more expensive than expected. Which means that you are checking the various motels on Lombard street. I can tell you that choosing this place is an ok choice. The location is fine: you can rent bikes on the street (the rental location 3 blocks west...

Married couple and Dad stayed here for 3 nights. Dad is 70 so was grateful to be on the ground floor whilst we were upstairs. Don't remember there being a lift so needs considering for carrying cases upstairs. Excellent location close to lots of shops, bars and restaurants within 15 minute walk. Excellent transport links, we had a 3 days...

Was clean and met basic needs. Breakfast poor would do better with bread rolls / cereal and yoghurts rather than cakes. Managed to get parking. Area felt safe. Soundproofing wasn't good and neither was air conditioning. Wouldn't go out of my way to stay again if in area.

Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and the rooms are more modern and well-appointed than the exterior suggests. Breakfast isn't much but is better than nothing. Staff are very helpful. Ask for a room away from the road if traffic noise will trouble you, and one on the ground floor if you don't want to drag cases up the stairs.

Staying in Marina District

Neighbourhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighbourhood into a party-going hotspot.
