I don’t usually write reviews but the staff here was so bad it was almost impressive. A woman on drugs broke a bottle in the parking lot and was screaming at some people right in front of the office. I looked out my window to make sure my car was okay and saw that the staff did nothing about it. She saw me, ran up to my room and started BANGING ON MY DOOR AND SCREAMING. I called the front desk freaking out and they just casually said they thought she was staying with me???? The next day I called the office with a question and the front desk interrupted me about 30 seconds in and said “why are you even calling me”. Yikes.
Was charged for a night that I did not stay there. Manager Joe refused to refund it even though the country was experiencing a pandemic and most places including California was under a travel ban, I was expected to stay there even though had thought that I had cancelled the booking several months prior. How would not even let me say anything thing before refusing to refund the charge. The whole call he kept speaking to me as if I were an ignorant child. Needless to say his whole conversation was very unprofessional!
We are at the hotel now. At first they gave to us the wrong room number. Already had a guy, in underwear, poor man. Second, the tv doesn’t work, 1hour calling to reception, he came to our room, but don’t known, or don’t care. The tv still doesn’t work.
The hotel is close to Chestnut and Pierce where there are lots of food places. The beds were spongy. But overall we were happy with the hotel. There are a couple of places close by and within walking distance to do laundry. We went in July 2018 but menu below does not allow that option.
$200 bucks for one night in this tired and outdated motel. Bed was very hard and uncomfortable, the air cooling system was a joke. There was a huge wet spot on the carpet between the credenza and the foot of the bed ( the walkway to the bathroom) Do not waste your money here if you can help it. Live and learn. Hubby and I should have reserved a room somewhere further out from the Golden Gate Bridge area and had a nicer quality room for the dollars we spent. Idea was to be in the Golden gate bridge proximity to spend the next full day there. Horrible room. Musty.
