just returned from a super week in San Francisco. Can't speak too highly of the Argonaut hotel. Everyone so helpful and the Hotel is ideally situated to investigate Fisherman's Wharf and beyond as the tram terminal is a couple of minutes walk away.

We stayed on the fourth floor to try to keep the noise to a minimum. However, the person in the next door room had a cough, which was easily audible all night. This was the only problem with the stay. The rooms were a bit narrow but otherwise fine. The staff at reception were really good and recommended some local...

Stayed in this hotel late December 2012 for 1 night (it was a stop over from a holiday in Hawaii). We arrived at night and we were not greeted by door staff and thus had to carry 5 suitcases into the hotel. After waiting for 15 minutes to check in (there was no queue), we were checked in by a...

Hello, hh2013. Wow, your 2-star experience has definitely caught my eye and our team here is eager to learn more. It is no excuse at all, but I am wonderfing if you arrived after 11pm when the bellman/doorman shift ends and the security guard takes over? I am also interested in narrowing in on whether this odd desk experience was...

Incredibly comfortable bed, fresh decor with nautical theme. Thoughtful accents, like a chaise lounge, make the most of the very small (but very quiet) standard room. A round wall mirror (about six feet in diameter) expands the space. Very clean and well maintained. A dock for chargers on the desk is a nice touch. The front desk staff is exceptionally personable...

Fantastic stay, sprang for the bay view room, very worth it. Apart from the crazy valet everything was excellent, he wasn't that bad, just a bit full on. Received a courtesy phone call about an hour or two into our stay just to check everything was ok. Found the customer service to be second to none. We asked for a...

Hi, Nick! So glad that you thought we were winning the race for best service! I am wondering if this wacky valet may have been one of our esteemed doormen. Those guys crack me up all the time, though sometimes it's not a fair fight if they're caffeinated and I am not :). For your next restaurant pics, if you...

Very nice hotel at a great location to explore the Fisherman's Wharf area by foot. The standard rooms could be a little more spacious but have a unique atmosphere and the beds are just perfect – though jet lagged from our flight we slept wonderfully on their very comfy mattresses. The front desk service was polite and quick and although we...

We enjoyed our one nights stay at The Argonaut Hotel very much. The only thing keeping me from rating it excellent is that the hotel is pet friendly. I was in the elevator with large dogs... large dogs in the lobby. I love pets, but not where I sleep. I knew it was pet friendly when I reserved, as they...

Had a great stay here. Felt very welcomed from the start as the staff were all very helpful and friendly. Room was massive for a city hotel, quirky but modern decor, good amenities and comfortable. The location is also perfect to check out the city. Loads of tourist attractions within walking distance but it's also easy to hop on a...

Hello from one Captain to another! I am tickled that you had such a flawless experience and enjoyed our 'massive' city hotel rooms. The antique streetcar and cable cars do keep all things local at your fingertips, and of course you can always walk into Chinatown and North Beach, too. Hope to see you back soon, thanks!

Just left from a four night stay at the Argonaught. I would highly recommend staying here, its a clean, welcoming hotel right down on the water near pier 39, only a short walk from all that fisherman's wharf has to offer. It was great to come back from a busy day being a tourist to have free wine tasting for...
