Fantastic! Stayed here instead of a hotel because I was traveling on my own and didn't know anyone. Well, I am really glad I made that decision. Ended up going out with people from the hostel every night and had a blast meeting other travelers from all over the world. Everything was clean and comfortable, and there is a real...

I was looking for an apartment until I found a Pacific Tradewinds ad, and I'm glad I chose to stay there. The coolest staff in SF, plus a lot of friendly guests from all over the world. I spent about a week there, and I loved the experience. Everyday there's a planned group activity, and if that doesn't work for...

I stayed for two weeks while taking a class and had the most amazing time at Pacific tradewinds. Well I knew a few people in town, I was quickly able to make friends among the staff and other guests. They have planned activities for every day that are affordable and extremely fun. Can't wait to visit again

Some hostels have friendly staff, but that friendliness may only be to check you in. Here at Pacific Trade Winds, each staff member took the time to ask me what my plans were, help me in any way, and they were genuine about it. I often spoke to the staff and other guests which led to long conversations then activities...

I am so glad I chose to stay at your hostel. The staff was so friendly and welcoming and the other hostel guests were friendly, too. I enjoyed the planned outings and the availability of the kitchen and common room. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and cozy, and I felt safe having my own locker to keep my belongings....

The staff were friendly and helpful and more than capable of pointing out areas of interest or places to eat etc. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. They are also very flexible with arrival which is great if you have business to do. The location is great for getting around San Francisco either by walking or public transport,...

My stay here was great. There was always something to do and it was in walking distancw of moscone center and everywhere else I needed to go. The people there are great, anticipating what you might need and always asking how you are doing and what they can do to help. Five stars through and through.

The most friendly staff I've ever met at a hostel. Very accommodating, welcoming, and playful. The hostel itself is in a good location, right by Chinatown. The dorm room has large storage underneath the beds which is sufficient to fit a suitcase, the bathroom and shower is small and cramped but the water is nice and hot, and free PB...

All of the guys (and girl) in charge of the hostel management were great. My flight arrived later than it was supposed to and, although it wasn't his duty, Jose wait up for me to register and gave all the details of the place and some very useful tips. I had the chance to talk a little with Eri, Jose...

Staying in Financial District

Neighbourhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
