An old fashioned hotel/inn some 150 yards away from the SF Opera. Very charming reception with apples and cookies, bringing the luggage to our room and refusing a tip. Rooms old fashioned but cosy. Elegant restaurant, visited by many elegantly dressed opera goers. Reasonably priced.
A great boutique hotel. Our room was a little on the smaller side based on other hotel rooms I've stayed in, but I didn't see any of the other rooms at the Inn to compare.

I'm sure the hotel won't know how many people in your party since there is no checking at breakfast. That said, I would be honest and frank with the front desk and ask them about purchasing breakfast for a non-guest.
