Just steps from the opera house and symphony hall, it is a perfect boutique old-style hotel for classical music lovers. It has great wi-fi connectivity, good beds & pillows, and friendly & helpful staff. A complimentary breakfast is included, cookies are offered at 3pm, and coffee is available all day. During my 2-day stay, however, none of the fruit was...

This hotel is right next to Davies Hall and the San Francisco Opera as well as several museums. It is an easy public transit ride to the downtown. Highly recommended in all ways. The rooms have everything you need as a traveler. Great little bar and restaurant. Breakfast included wonderful staff. Easy to find.

Room was small yes but had everything we needed and to be honest you are so busy here you wont spend long in your room anyway. They had done their best to get as much in as possible which was appreciated over the room being larger. We had 2 large windows a wardrobe a large very comfy bed, with bed...

We stayed at the Inn at the Opera for a week, and we were not that happy with this property. I had to ask daily for shampoo, conditioner and body wash( we have traveled in a lot of countries and never felt that I have had to beg for these basic items ) we also asked for clean sheet's after...

Recently stayed for four nights. We were disappointed with a few items. The portable heater in our room sounded like a jet taking off. When we asked for a replacement they said they would check but never got back to us. The complimentary breakfast was lovely when we learned about it on our last morning. The staff never informed us...

We stayed four nights at this boutique hotel close to the Hayes district in San Francisco. All the positives...lovely comfy bed, great location with easy to access transport (San Francisco public transport is absolutely terrific), nice complimentary breakfast and freshly baked cookies in the afternoon. Although our room was tiny it was well laid out with its own bathroom plus...

The ONLY thing we enjoyed about this boutique hotel is the location. The front desk staff was pleasant enough when approached, but disinterested for the most part. Bare minimum amenities, plus we had to ask for replacements (shampoo, towels) more than once. It would have been depressing if we spent more time in the tiny rooms. Nice neighborhood with plenty...

My wife and I stayed for five days. Our room was a studio that was smaller than most hotel rooms. In essence, they took a small hotel room and ripped out the closet to put in a tiny kitchenette. A tiny cabinet served as a closet and chest. It was so small that we never bothered to unpack. A plus...

We come to SF every year for an extended weekend in Sept or Oct, and since we use our timeshare, we always stay at either the Inn at the Opera or The Donatello. Both have their good points but the Inn at the Opera wins out for the staff and the quiet at night. The rooms are comfortable and clean,...

It is a rare experience to be able to stay in a place that lives and breathes history yet with modern comforts in this bustling and beautiful city. This is a boutique hotel located in the arts district of San Francisco- 5 minutes walk from the Symphony Hall

Hayes Valley
Chock full of designer boutiques, art galleries, funky shoe stores, and great restaurants, it’s hard to imagine Hayes Valley once languished in the shadow of a major freeway. Its removal allowed for the creation of an attractive boulevard on Octavia Street with a community park at its center and dozens of trendy businesses to satisfy visitors looking for a stylish respite.
