Could not have stayed at a better location on union square. All the best restaurants , shopping etc at walking distance. The rooms are spacious and love the sit out along the windows with a full view of union square. The dining options at the hotel are limited but having restaurants like hakkasan's etc next door it does not matter....

The rooms were very nice, an executive suite, it was well laid out for us as a young family. I like the Boston Four Seasons a little bit more. The food was fantastic both in the restaurant and through in room dining. Nice ambiance in the restaurant and lounge. The staff was very nice and paid attention to details. I...

Hi Dawn, We do love our sister property in Boston, too! I'm glad to hear that your experience with the rooms, staff and dining at MKT Restaurant were fantastic. Thank you for your candid feedback about the pool and WiFi. If you do visit again, I'm happy to have someone assist with visiting the neighboring pool, or help in any...

We stayed here in September for a business meeting on property. Leading up to the meeting, I worked with the hotel staff to ensure everything was ready to go. They made it easy. Paige from concierge was amazing in helping to plan our trip. I had never to SF before so she was helpful with some of the ins and...

This has all the amenities you come to expect from a Four Seasons: beautiful spacious rooms, great location, large lobby and meeting rooms and excellent gym. I was a little surprised that the staff was not quite as courteous as always. The front desk staff seemed to be going through the motions of trying to be nice. Further, when I...

Stayed 4 nights in October in a Four Seasons Suite. Very comfortable, all services functioned very well. Staff very professional and extremely responsive. Only suggestions: shower is small, no hand held spray. The bar restaurant area on the lobby floor can be improved. Would like to see more upscale dining area or one a bit quieter, like the Bristol Cafe...

Solid, "Four Seasons" experience. Nice room and convenient location. Valet, baggage handling and housekeeping staff very personable. Would like to see additional "local" feel to this property, including incentives for nearby sites, information about historic significance of the area, etc.

The rooms are small, the TV and movie selections are woefully lacking and out of date and you have to pay for wifi, but it is still your best bet if you want friendly and attentive service and if you don't want any surprises. Unlike the Regis, you have your own thermostat and can control your own room temperature and...

I always try to stay at the Four Seasons in San Francisco. The hotel is beautiful; the rooms are comfotable and luxurious. Great bathrooms. Comfortable bedding. Front of house staff is always accomodating, as is room service. You can even order a child's meal, which unlike other hotel restaurants, can consist of the same high-quality food, but just a smaller...

My first time at a Four Seasons and the service did not disappoint. First rate all around. The entire staff (especially front of the house) went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and special. It was difficult at times to get taxis but the staff tried their hardest. The room was nice. I was expecting a bit...

We visited San Francisco for the first time on October 19th and 20th after coming from Napa. We arrived on the 19th about 4pm or so and check in was a breeze. We had a city view room with one King bed. The room was the perfect size for two people and was perfect upon arrival. We were at the...

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
