Some companies can't seem to get anything right most of the time (e.g. United Airlines), and others seldom make a mistake. But the great is distinguished by how they hanle it when there is something wrong. Four Seasons Hotels is such a company. Our room was lovely as we began our 3 night stay, but in the night it became...

Stayed at this Hotel at the beginning of December for a convention. Although the Hotel was clean and the location was covenient, that's where it ends. For almost $1000 a night, they gave you nothing. No Internet, no complimentary coffee, the minibar price list was misleading. We thought a chocolate bar and a bottle of water on the counter outside...

Stayed at the Four Seasons 3 nights prior to Christmas. Had connecting deluxe rooms on the 16th floor that over looked Yerba Buena. With this beautiful view also came the sound of church bells and ships in the harbor. Hotel is well staffed with the professionals you would expect at a Four Seasons. Concierge Vanessa was kind enough to type...

This is one of the best Four Seasons I stayed yet. Great hotel, brand new feel, great on site restaurant, and a lot of things to do on a walking distance. It does not have a business feel, so feel free to come here on vacation! At least I did think it had... They gave me directions to a great...

My husband and I stayed here over Thanksgiving. Our room had a window that stretched across one entire wall and had a large window seat that ran the length of the window. The view from the window seat was quite nice although not of the bay. The location was fabulous for shopping and access to China town. The staff was...

Don't get me wrong, this is a great 5 star hotel. The service is excellent, the location, right in downtown near shopping and the sights is ideal, and the rooms are large. However, compared to other similar properties I have stayed in very recently it came up short in a few small but nonetheless significant ways. One, it drives me...

Very convenient to Union Square for Christmas shopping (SFMOMA, Gump's, Williams-Sonoma). Had electricity all through the power outage of the storm of the decade (Ritz-Carlton did not.) Assistant Front Desk Manager Alexander Warren went above and beyond to give the personalized service we are accustomed to as By Invitation members (we loved that program!) at Four Seasons Tokyo, Las Vegas,...

We spent a 3 day weekend here last week just for R & R and to see the San Francisco Ballet production of the Nutcracker. This hotel was outstanding, just as it was for the other 3 times I have stayed here. The room was wonderful with a fantastic view. Comfortable beds. Great service all the way around. Love the...

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
