Well worth considering as it is a very convenient location just steps away from BART and the market st trolley, although it is a little soulless at night when the shops close, and the area does seem to attract quite a few homeless in doorways. The hotel is well designed, but the type with a separate lift to the lobby...

From well-before check-in, the reservations/front desk personnel were extremely accommodating and efficient. The concierge service was impeccably helpful for weeks leading up to our arrival. The hotel property was clean, modern, sleek, clean and welcoming. The staff, notably the front desk and concierge, were very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The bell captain and car garage personnel (we had a rental...

Like any Four Seasons, the Four Seasons San Francisco has tremendous service, top amenities, and beautiful rooms. I've stayed here several times, along with many other SF hotels (Mandarin Oriental, Ritz Carlton, Hyatt, and St. Francis among them), and this is definitely the "nicest." That said, the location leaves something to be desired, and the views are not spectacular, which...

Stayed at the Four Seasons Market St for 4 nights. This is my third visit to this hotel and it didn't disappoint. From the fuss free checkin, to the rooms and related services, it's all handled professionally and in a friendly manner. To start with, the location of the hotel is great allowing many places (eg. Union Square, the Ferry...

I always love coming back to this hotel. It is conveniently located, close to the financial district and shopping but away from the tourists and crowds. It's also a block away from the Moscone Center and MOMA. It is what you would expect from the excellence of the Four Seasons. The bed is comfortable the room is nicely decorated and...

I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay and had a chance to explore the vicinity of the hotel with shopping. Thank you for your kind words about our service and beds. Our beds are really very comfortable, and many of our guests have purchased them for their own homes! I look forward to welcoming you back soon! Regards,...

My husband brought me to the Four Seasons for my birthday and had a PERFECT time there. We had been at the Four Seasons last year in Istanbul, and this was equally lovely. Great location; walked through China Town to the start of the Trolly Line. The staff was extremely accomodating and gave us the Amex Platinum Card upgrade without...

The Four Seasons is a solid business option, and a more than adequate place to explore San Francisco from. It's not the warmest or most personalized, both figuratively and literally. We turned the thermostat up to 27C and the room was still freezing! We had some funny glitches with small service oriented things (delivery of packages, etc), but these were...

I stayed at the hotel a few weeks ago, and I really liked the location, and the room was quite big! The hotel is very very good, a little bit old in somethings, but the only issue I had was with finding cabs! Everytime I needed one was at least 15 min wait. And when I was leaving to the...

Good facilities, convenient location to Union Square, public transportation and the SF street cars to the wharf. We were upgraded, but even that room did not have coffee and tea making facilities. However, upon asking, they sent us a kettle, a coffeemaker and coffee and tea. The gym was huge, the swimming pool crowded in the evenings, had to wait...

Equinox Sports Club is indeed a great fitness facility. Many of our guests enjoy the pool as well. Thank you for your kind words about our MKT staff and our bell desk. Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
