This review is to expose errant and abusive staff at Post Hotel San Francisco as also to caution prospective customers of risks that come with this booking. We had booked for 5 nights in late August after reading reviews which generally were favourable for its...More
I booked a room for a little over $90. Go to check in and they apparently needed a $300 incidental fee that supposedly would be refunded the day after. As a normal person an extra $300 kind of dampens the income. So I paid for...More
The night watch man at the Post hotel on the night of the 2nd of September is a terrible human being. He refused to let me into my room where my bag was and therefore I slept on the street outside the hotel by myself...More
I do not recommend staying at this hotel at all. My friend and I stayed in the twin bunk room set up, which is what I originally booked. To start with, I would like to say that I had little expectations for this hotel, since...More
Stayed here for three nights and felt like we were staying in an old hospital. The smell of old carpet was enough walking through the corridors and the bathrooms were so old. It was not a nice experience sharing with anyone on our floor and...More

Originally home to rallies supporting the Union Army in the Civil War, this grand square has become the city's premier shopping and entertainment district containing the largest number of upscale department stores, chic boutiques, art galleries and theatres in the city. It's a large open area where tourists and locals gather, watch cable cars and crowds go by, enjoy a snack, or plan their day of shopping and
sightseeing, If feeling the pulsating energy of the city is on your agenda, Union Square is the place to soak it in.

We were able to get to SFO pretty easily via BART. I'm not sure what time it starts running on Sunday mornings though. There were signs at the front desk about an airport shuttle - I thought I saw something about it costing around $20. I think Alcatraz Bike Tours, which is only about 30 feet from the hotel entrance, also arranges for a hotel shuttle. The shuttle might be worth it, as the BART one-way trip still cost around $9.
