We checked into this place at 2am after a late night flight and our originally booking falling through. The hotel offers 24 hour reception and very friendly staff. The room was basic, but clean - just needs updating. Good price and good location so if you're just looking for some place clean, quiet, and in a central and safe location...

We stayed one week in this charming hotel. Most of the rooms do not have a private bathroom but we had one. The room on the corner has in addition a nice view and we enjoyed our breakfast there with the free coffee from the machine at the Reception

This hotel is on the edge of downtown but near Haight St and round the corner from the Painted Ladies! It's away from throngs of tourists- you can get bus 21 to the ferry building. Bed was comfortable, shower hot (we had shared b'room) and staff friendly. Free hot drinks downstairs. You don't need anything else when you'll be out...

I had to stay at this place because I wanted to walk to the independent (music venue). I know it is a 2 star "hotel", but in that case it was very expensive considering the Hilton San Francisco was only 50 dollars more !!! Incredible... shame I had to be at that area and the nice hotels were kinda far...

Location was great. Few blocks away from cafes/grocery store. Booked a room with private bathroom. Room was spacious. Even had a table and chairs. Bed was comfortable although the pillows were too soft. TV channel selection were good as well. The staff were super super friendly and helpful. Felt like we were having conversations with good friends. Free flow of...

As I travel to San Francisco for work through the years, I find it just becomes more and more unaffordable. While it is difficult to find anything under $100 (after taxes, unless you stay in a dorm bed of a youth hostel), usually the cheap accommodations are quite crappy, or in very inconvenient locations. Thus, it is good to find...

Well, the price is certainly right, and we loved being on Fillmore. The rooms feel less like hotel rooms and more like a room in a shared flat--especially with the shared baths down the hall! (The bathrooms and showers were spotless, though, unlike any shared flat I've lived in.) Our first room had a broken window which felt unsafe, so...

We got the twin deluxe room—two single beds and our own bathroom. While the room is small, it's still liveable. Our room seems to have been renovated, but a lot of the rooms on our floor—the third floor—are still a work in progress. Some downsides: 1. The water pressure in the shower is very weak 2. The hot water in...
