Our room had been updated in the past year or two. The bed was soft but supportive, which made it comfortable. We appreciated having a fridge and microwave. We cooled it down with the a/c sometimes too. Location was great. Walkable to Chinatown and fisherman’s...More
After comparing reviews for Castle Inn with other cheaper hotels in SF, I am glad I chose to stay here for our two nights in SF. Hotel was not as close to Union Square as first thought however a short Uber ride got us there....More
My sister and I stayed here when we were on vacation in San Francisco for 3 days. The manager (or owner) was extremely helpful. The room was updated and very clean. Plenty of cable tv channels. It was great being able to come back to...More

Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that
followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.

The Cable Cars are only 3 blocks away and there is a bus on the corner that will take you to the Wharf. No need to drive. Ghirardelli Square - the starting point of the Wharf - is only a 15 minute walk.
