Everything was fine except the next door was very noisy at night. It would be nice if the room has better sound proof. The breakfast seemed very cheap. It would be nice to have few more selections. I thought for the price I paid, I should't feel I stayed at a cheap hotel.

We stayed recently with 2 adults and 2 kids in a double double room. The location in the Marina district is awesome. There are restaurants on both Union and Chestnut streets, which are 2 blocks away in either direction, and the place has a great vibe. The staff were friendly. The breakfast included was good. Bagels, croissant, apples, porridge/oats and...

Request a room on the West or South side, 3rd floor. It's quieter there. Good location, good breakfast. Fast internet. This was my 3rd stay; They could use a fan in the bathroom, even though there is a small window.

Stayed in a Junior Suite on second level with separate living room (sofa bed) and main bedroom. Comfortable, clean motor inn in great residential area of Cow Hollow with parking on ground floor or separate lot if full. Limited amenities in room included fridge, but complementary continental breakfast and tea/coffee throughout day and afternoon cookies from reception. Small bathroom but...

We have been back to the Hotel del Sol 3 times -- it is classic, reasonably priced motor hotel around a courtyard with palm trees and a small pool, right int he Marina District of the city. Every morning I went to get a cappuccino from the Wrecking Ball coffee shop on Union Street, a fun shopping street right near...

Bugs and flies all over the properties, the rooms rattle when people walk by, walls are paper thin, gross soap dispensers in the shower anyone can tamper with. Super noisy and feels like its a re-done drug motel Avoid this place

This is a gem. Great location. My son loved the heated pool even on cool days. The breakfast is perfect so you don't have to spend more time going to a restaurant. I liked the separate bedroom in the junior suite. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Staying in Marina District

Neighbourhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighbourhood into a party-going hotspot.
