I look forward to staying at this location again when the pool is in operation. The decor is adorable, very retro, has a wonderfully 50s vibe throughout the facility. Really also appreciate the staff's commitment to being as green as possible when it comes to services such as house keeping.

Do not come here anyway you risk buttons all over the body, and you risk infesting your own home with BED BUGS when you return. I stayed at this hotel in January for a business trip to San Francisco, and I came across these bed bugs in my bed. I realized it only the next day when I saw pimples...

Stayed for 4 nights this past weekend - clean and bright - too bad the beds are only doubles but they are comfortable. Wild decor - 1960's colours and style but cool . . . good amenities including tazo tea, coffee maker, hairdryer and decent shampoo. They desperately need plug in points for electronics!!!!! Courtyard style building with outside entry...

The building has been around for a few decades and is in constant need of renovation. Funky 1960s Mad Men decor but still functional. The good: location, prices. The less good: a bit run down and some of the rooms can be noisy.

Dear GlobetrottingSwede, Thank you very much for your review of our hotel. The "ups" were central location and low price ($90.00 per night on Priceline Express). One of the downs was parking was quoted when we arrived at $35.00 per night. If you become a Best Western Award Member (free) you pay $25.00 per night. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR BILL WHEN YOU LEAVE! The hotel billed bit of our rooms for...

Dear Greenvilledan, We certainly appreciate that you took the time to share your review about your recent stay with us. Hotel decor and architecture is beautiful, especially in an area infested with savage people roaming around downtown SF. Walls are thin, so one can hear people from all around. There was low water pressure in second floor shower. May be different for other rooms/floors. Staff (both front desk and house cleaning) is very efficient and nice. Located at walking distance...

Loved the retro vibe, good service, salt water pool & large gym. Double beds are too small. A microwave would have been nice. Hotel is doing some nice upgrades. Staff is friendly. Found some great places to eat & shop but had to walk through skid row

My stay was great. The restaurant was under construction but right at the end of my stay they opened it up and I enjoyed a really great meal for a reasonable price. It is in the SOMA district. Easy access to get Lyft rides.

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
