This inn had everything we were looking for in a quick San Francisco getaway – great location, free parking, and great value. Located on Lombard Street in Cow Hollow, we could walk just a few minutes to the lively outdoor dining offered at the Marina restaurants and hop in the car for an easy five minute drive to the Golden Gate Bridge, Fort Point, the Presidio Marshall Beach and Land’s End. The room and furnishings were just fine. Note that there is a Fedex station using the allery behind the hotel -- there was loading noise starting at 5:30 a.m. -- not sure if there are any rooms that don't experience the noise.
Only stayed one night. The staff were friendly and helpful. Location is pretty central. Pizza shops etc were within easy walking distance. The room was clean, had an old fashioned decor. Pretty good all round experience and prices were not crazy.
The location was excellent, very near the Golden Gate Bridge (our room had a great bridge view), and a very short drive to downtown and everything else we wanted to see during our visit. in a great neighborhood with lots of restaurants in walking distance. the free on-site parking was a huge plus. I was a little worried when booking that i was booking a sketchy hotel and would be getting a room that left a lot to be desired, but the rooms were very clean and comfortable and at a great price. the only thing we would have liked and didn't have in our room was a fridge but that is a minor complaint. If I ever come back to San Francisco I would stay here again.
Well located in a safe area between Marina and Cow Hollow. Free parking but no breakfast, but lots of places to eat in the morning (try Peet’s across the road). Nice room, although the furniture looks a bit dated it’s not old it’s the style. Slept well in a comfortable bed but the hotel is on a busy road - Lombard Street is I101 at this point - so there is a bit of traffic noise. Great value for San Francisco
Chose this hotel because of free parking a real bonus in this city with others charging up to $40 per night. It is a no frills hotel, more of a motel. No breakfast or other facilities. Room a good size as was bathroom, all a bit dated but clean. Coffee machine in room but only two coffee bags left per day (here 4 nights). Lots of noise. Bar, road works, car alarm. Quiet in between! considering location on busy Lombard street. Can recommend Mels diner just along from hotel, standard American DIner, popular, not especially fast service but good enough. Over the road is Home Plate, a smarter looking place with prices to match, very good service and comfy seating. At both we only had breakfast. Can get bus 22 right by hotel to Market street or right to the Mission. Other buses also nearby. 20ish minutes walk to Fishermans Wharf. Good location to get to Presidio and Golden Gate Park. Under £8 for taxi back from Ferry building. We were on 3rd floor but no view of bridge…
