Excellent place to stay in San Fransisco. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The location could not be better. The staff was better than perfect. Great dining, Cable cars, beautiful sunsets, view of the bay, walking distance to fisherman’s wharf and pier 39. It’s a no brainer if you want a luxury stay on the bay with plenty to do!
A dream come true property, this is what service is all about. The team at the Fairmont Heritage Place will delight your soul. Outstanding 5 star experience. The service was impeccable from all staff members. Initially, we only booked for a 2 week stay and kept extending, for another 5 months while we were remodeling our home. We stayed in a beautiful 2 bedroom suite with high end amenities, including a full kitchen and washer and dryer in every residence, which is very difficult to find in San Francisco. Along with my family being extremely happy with our stay, our dog had a fabulous time as well, as they are pet friendly and supplied him with a dog bed, dog bowls, and dog treats. The doorman loved to give him treats as we would come and go. Besides staying in luxury, you are in a prime and safe location, just upstairs from Ghirardelli Square. You are also in close walking distance from Fisherman’s Wharf, North Beach, Fort Mason, and the Marina District. The Mustard Terrace was our favorite part of the hotel. It has spectacular views of Alcatraz, the bay and the world’s famous Ghirardelli sign above. We loved hanging out on the comfy outdoor couches by the fire pit, day or night. The hotel also offers a complimentary generous wine and cheese hour every Wednesday and Friday which was a wonderful perk. We can’t thank the entire staff enough who went out of their way to make our stay feel like home. I can honestly say, the staff treated everyone like family! A few of them are Marco, Stephen, Aziz, Ryan, YuMi, Jean, Jason, Jeff, Asim, Lucia, Michelle, Johnson, Byron, The housekeeping team, Dallas, Corina, and Sarah. And of course the managers Jonathan, Dan, and Jessica.…
We had a 2 bedroom suite with a lovely view of the bay and Alcatraz. The facilities were exceptional - a modern kitchen, lovely sitting area with fire and 2 good sized bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. We also had access to a small patio and a good sized shared patio with heaters. Everything was modern and very clean. The location of the hotel is very good, in the bustling Ghirardelli Square with a few restaurants and quirky shops, but also within walking distance of Fishermans Wharf and other attractions. We were there to celebrate our 30th anniversary and the staff were very helpful with helping with our celebrations along with some wine, goodies and a very sweet card. It was a Monday and many restaurants were closed, but their recommendation for Alexanders was spot on! So shout out to YuMi and the concierge team (Justin, Ryan and Jason)…
Superb services from bell to front desk, reminded me of most of the Asia hotels I have been to. Room was clean and attentive to needed items. Liked the expresso machine in the hallway and location was excellent and 5-10 minutes drive to most places. Pet friendly was a plus. Received texts from management for questions and answers. We had a great time and thanks for the memory.
Lovely hotel with a home from home feel. I wish I could have stayed a lot longer. The view from the room was amazing. I’ll never forget looking out at Alcatraz from our bed! The staff were all friendly and helpful. Particularly Aziz whose smile brightened up our day!
Our family of 4 travelled to San Francisco for 3 nights as part of our spring break California trip in March 2022. I had high expectations for the Fairmont Ghirardelli Square, and it exceed them in every way. The staff was top-notch from arrival to departure, always available, professional, and welcoming. Each person immediately responded to any request/question we had. The hotel itself is luxurious and refined -- a high-end retreat in a very busy city. The location is perfect -- we were a 5 minute drive or walk from every site we wanted to visit (Golden Gate Bridge, Ferry Building, Chinatown, Union Square, Fisherman's Wharf). We had a 3 bedroom residence, beautifully furnished, with fire place, sound system throughout, and en-suite bathrooms for each room. And, of course, the hotel located directly in Ghirardelli Square which is itself a treat (and there is an outdoor deck with fire overlooking bay/Alcatraz. Our stay at the Fairmont Ghirardelli Square was perfect, and I can't recommend it highly enough. We would absolutely go back.…
We stayed for 6 nights at the property in March 2022, in one of the two bedroom suites with a view of the Bay. The accommodation was lovely, with comfortable beds, a fireplace, stylish furnishings, and it was a very generous size. The view from our bedroom window was gorgeous, and the atmosphere of this converted factory, with exposed brick and quirky spaces is very unique. Our unit was also very well equipped with everything we needed to prepare a meal when we wanted, and it was supplied with luxurious toiletries, robes and towels. The size and layout were perfect for a family, offering plenty of space and privacy for myself my husband and our adult children. We were there to visit one of our daughters who had moved to San Fran, and a couple of nights she stayed over with us and the pull out in the living room easily allowed for 5 adults to be comfortable in the apartment ( indeed, I think with the pull out the unit would be comfortable even for 6 people). The accommodation is really a high end super comfortable full apartment, so it felt like a home away from home, but with full housekeeping services! My daughter took full advantage of the large soaker tub, and as we all needed to get a little work done while we were visiting, it was easy for each of us to find our own spot to be on a computer, or alternatively relax in front of the fireplace or TV. The public spaces of the property are also terrific, offering a couple of huge outdoor decks with fire pits that were great for sitting out on a cool evening. The deck on the second floor with a panoramic view of the Bay was especially fabulous, and we had a little wine and cheese visit with some friends out there one night that was wonderful. The property's location, attached to the shops and restaurants of Ghiradelli square and easy walking distance to the bay, and Fisherman's wharf, as well as to Russian Hill, was super convenient and made the stay relaxing as we could grab a bite whenever we wanted at one of the nearby restaurants and go for beautiful walks along the water straight from the hotel. The thing that really set the hotel apart, though, was the service. Without exception every staff person I had contact with was smiling, helpful, and super accommodating. I have travelled extensively and can't recall any place I've been where the staff were as noticeably pleasant. They really went the extra mile to be helpful. We will definite come back!!…
I researched just about every hotel in San Francisco but kept coming back to this beautiful place. The location alone was a no brainer but the rustic charm had me. My friend and I unanimously agreed this was the place to celebrate her 50th birthday! Great decision! From the start the customer service stood out. I called ahead to set up a special welcome gift in our room and Jason went above and beyond in assisting with the details. He suggested a florist, made arrangements for chocolates and wine, and also made some wonderful suggestions for restaurants in the area. Upon arrival our check in was seamless…We were greeted by a gracious and professional valet named Azziz who escorted us to our room and was very thorough going over our amenities . We definitely had the best room in the house, a 2 bedroom/2 bath suite with a kitchen, washer/dryer, a fireplace and a beautiful fire pit right outside our room. The view of the bay and Alcatraz was amazing! The Ghirardelli chocolates, wine and beautiful flowers were the perfect touch. Throughout our stay, we were impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel and surrounding square, the ease of getting in and out, (we used the valet and we texted when we were ready to go so our car was always waiting), the fact that we always felt safe and secure, and the convenience of the location can’t be beat! We were minutes away from almost every attraction and restaurant we had on our itinerary! The ONLY drawback was the lack of a restaurant for breakfast or room service, (maybe pandemic related?) but when you’re minutes away from everything you could possibly want, it wasn’t missed. All in all we had an amazing stay, and when I come back to this beautiful city, there’s no place I’ld rather be! Thank you to the Fairmont Heritage for helping us make such a memorable experience!…
We booked a two bedroom suite with a bay view for three nights. We were delighted with the accommodations and particularly the view and large balcony overlooking Ghirardelli square and San Francisco Bay. Nice to find an expresso machine in the kitchen too. All staff were wonderful. Our grandkids had a great time there too. We are looking forward to a return trip in the future.
