Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a great stay! Beautiful place. Great location. We stayed in the Cottage Suite, which was a beautiful suite! Breakfast was superb. Fruits, danish, quiche, coffee, cereals. Wonderful. But their best attribute is customer service. We left a wallet and they worked with us to get it in an Uber to be delivered to us at the airport. And, they asked to be informed once we had it so they knew it had been delivered. Superb!

The Inn far exceeded our expectations! This was our favourite accommodation during our 7 day trip traveling down the coast and staying in 7 different places. The rooms were unique, the hot tub was amazing and the breakfast was INCREDIBLE! I would HIGHLY recommend!

Beautiful inn with lots of character. Great hot tub. Breakfast spread is amazing. The owner, Marty, is incredibly friendly and obviously dedicated to the establishment and clientele. Staff were lovely. The location is ideal in the Mission District. Close to 24th Street station, or, busing up toward the water on bus 49. Good (even great) restaurants nearby. The neighborhood feels safe but after dark be cautious as in any large city. Same when on the bus. It's a bit far from water front for walking. Thanks Marty!

I stayed at the Inn for a week recently. It is a wonderful old antique home from the 1800s. As I love antiques I chose to stay in the original formal dining room, and it was so much fun being able to thoroughly admire the woodwork and fireplace. The hosts are lovely kind happy people, so helpful all the time. The buffet breakfast is lovely, lots of fruit, breads, cakes yummy quiche. The coffee was fresh and delicious. For a small fee I was able to bring my small dog. Highly recommend

Great room, with lot’s of interesting decor . Hot tub was just a fine soak. And the breakfast spread had an excellent array of fruit, breads and quiche. Quiet neighborhood with excellent access to Muni and Bart. Several interesting dining spaces at either end of the block.

Solo trip to SF to visit my daughter who lives in the Mission District. First a plug for the neighborhood. The Mission, belying it’s “gritty” reputation, is a lively, vibrant, colorful community. Hip, trendy “watering holes”. Local ethnic cuisine. Home of the “Mission Burrito”. You cannot get a bad meal in the Mission. From locally owned boutiques, gift shops, furniture stores, to a daily pop up street market. So many shopping options. And Inn SF is right in the middle of it all. Steps from the 24th St. Bart station, and on several Muni lines, there is no need for a car. But if you have to have a car, there is a safe and convenient garage option provided. Set in a beautiful Victorian era mansion retrofitted with all of the modern conveniences with a tasty, hearty breakfast provided every morning. A roof top deck with stellar views of the SF skyline. A relaxing garden for rest and meditation. A hot tub under a gazebo which I will have to take advantage of on my next visit. And the two lovely ladies at the front desk, Liza (day time) and Evelyn (evening) were friendly, efficient, competent, and professional. Why would you want to stay in a sterile, soul sucking chain hotel? I don’t and I won’t. I will stay at Inn SF.

Of course there are other nicer neighbourhoods but if you intend to stay in Mission the Inn is the place to be ! The old house is full of charm and yet comfortable; the breakfast is gorgeous and the staff is perfect; i would suggest to take a parking !
