We love staying at the Kabuki. Relatively quiet for San Francisco and we can easily get a cab to Union Square if we want the hustle and bustle or to go to a restaurant outside the Japantown area. This time we were in one of the newly renovated rooms on the top floor. Our only complaint is the new showerheads...

Almost $200/night at a very dated hotel. There were rooms that were remodeled but I was stuck at a room under constant construction noise all day. Even after I requested to be moved to a newly-remodeled room, they simply just put me at the other tower (not renovated). I booked this hotel months in advance and had spent over $1000...

We hear and understand the reservations, though we hope you'll consider touching base in return travels. It would be a pleasure to welcome you back and to tailor the more tranquil and comfortable experience we're regarded...

Hotel Kabuki is in the heart of San Francisco's Japan Center with plenty of Japanese and Korean restaurants and shops. The self-parking is part of the center and very affordable for San Francisco, with limited valet available at $46/night. The rooms are a bit on the small side, but bathrooms are typical Japanese with shower outside the tub area, so...

The hotel is a great stay in the center of Japan town in San Francisco. The conference rooms are great for any size meeting. I would book another business meeting at this hotel to offer business partners a unique experience into Japanese culture. It was nice not to have to drive to dinner each day. There was a wide variety...

This was a nice place and a fantastic location. Didn't take much time to get to all the places wanted to visit. The beds are awesome, we slept great! Parking can be tough so get to the garage or valet early. Will definitely stay here again!

Enjoyed the Japanese decor and the renovated rooms are nice. Staff friendly and helpful. Front desk sometimes not available when making a reservation but very available during the stay. I enjoyed a happy hour of saki. Wine was in the room as joy luck club member

Hotel is being renovated. Corner room on 16th floor was beautiful. Lobby was funky because of construction but it'll be great when work is done. Staff was incredible and upgraded our room. Everyone was great!!

I understand hotels need upgrading and our room certainly did but I was not impressed that we were unable to access all areas of the hotel. If you pay for a hotel with a garden - you expect a garden and not a building site. I would work has been completed before you book to stay here.

We appreciate your visit and apologize for the shortcoming, William. We'd love to welcome you back post-renovation and to share our offerings and gardens at full splendor. Best wishes and safe travels until then.

There are a few reasons I can't give the Kabuki a 5 star rating...right now. The hotel is currently undergoing refurbishment so the garden is off limits. This was disappointing but I was aware when I booked. My room was also one of the rooms yet to be remodeled and definitely had an old and worn appearance. It was, however,...

Our stay at the Kabuki was above our expectation. Staff was great. Made us feel at home. I definitely would recommend this hotel to others. We frequent San Francisco but never stayed in Japan town. Walking distance to multiple restaurants and stores. Will be back
