This place is rad as hell! Love all the photos of classic Bay Area musicians, love the vibe, and it’s clean with decently sized beds for a hostel! They hooked it up with towels and soaps included too which makes packing easier, not to mention the free coffee and tea! The real star of the show is Trene (I hope I spelled that right) at the front desk! She’s super kind and helpful, with great taste in nearby burrito spots. I came to her with some mildly odd questions and requests and she always had an idea for how to help me out. Shout out Trene and much love for the Music City!
Stayed the first week of August and it was really great! Rooms are clean and comfortable, plenty of individual bathrooms throughout, and the staff are super friendly. Lots of fruit, breakfast brioche and coffee for free in the morning! Then there's the picture gallery of Bay area musicians! (I had the CCR room!) Btw I changed my booking from TripAdvisor to direct website and an glad I did because if you book direct they give you free breakfast vouchers for a nice restaurant around the corner, lots of delicious choices! Plus it was a bit cheaper for the room that way. Great location, and you can grab the California Street cable car, just a couple minute walk away, to the Powell Street cable car, down to the wharf. Super fun and easy!
Lovely staff and liked the coffee station however there were only 3 tiny lockers for a room of 6 so no where to store my stuff and people in my room were a bit strange so didn’t feel comfortable leaving stuff with them there. For this reason sadly I wouldn’t return.
A hotel that you can trust until the end of office staff, cleaning, catering, location, security and all kinds of services. I had a great time for 6 weeks as a trans woman. I recommended it to all my friends
I have been twice to this fantastic hostel, I really love the design. The first time I booked for a 6 beds room with a private bathroom and it was really big, the room was small for 6 people, especially in covid time, it had a small kitchenette. the beds were comfortable but to close each other, I refuse to have the middle down and I change it with first on top. Nice staying. The second time I choose 4 beds with a shared bathroom and I had been alone 3 nights on 4 fortunately because the room again was so small for 4 people, there was a sink and 2 tables with chairs, not too bad! both of the rooms were clean and tidy, nice smell and black carpet as I love! look like everybody was quiet and I had a nice stay, in the second room bed number 4 a big one was a bit uncomfortable and noisy when I moved but nothing more. Nice people at the reception all the time, helpful and policies, fresh fruit every day, coffee and tea, microwave and tap water sink for everybody. The bathrooms shared outside the room was mostly clean but I found it quite dirty once, isn t the property fault if someone is unrespectful. To finish the position, at first, I noticed it was a perfect position to reach everything, but the second time I was annoyed by the stench of piss outside.…
So much fun at music city. The rooms are perfect. Small little touches like a Bluetooth speaker, electric guitar, amazing art & bedding. Our room had a kitchen, microwave & refrigerator as well. Enough space for everyone we brought & it ended up being the perfect spot for a weekend getaway for my bff's birthday. Thank you music city hotel!
So my apartment building where I reside was having interior work repairs,so decided to find a convenient place to escape for a hours,I treated this more as a "day use" spot since I did not actually spend the night. For the price point it worked out well. The Pros- Easy check in- Decent size room for one person Very clean bathroom right next door. Great wifi and tv with multi channels. The Cons- When I first walked in the overwhelming smell of Fabuloso cleaning fluid almost knocked me out,I considered checking out since it was way too strong for such a small space as someone who suffers from severe allergies with a chronic cough this more than likely would have made my stay VERY uncomfortable.I opened up the window to "air"out the place even tho it was pretty cold outside. For the future, please consider more eco friendly-unscented cleaning products as some of us are very sensitive to harsh scents and prefer not to breathe in toxic chemicals .. This was really my only complaint. Otherwise I would not hesitate to stay here again if I needed a dayuse space for a few hours.…
Cool Hotel with great rooms. The staff is very helpful and pleasant. Microwave access all hours of the night and day. Lively environment with music in the air most of the time, reminds me of the Savannah Georgia rehearsal halls I have read about
Fantastic place, weather musician or not! :) can't wait to the place opens up for the museum in club, should be fantastic! I have stayed once before with the family stone… Everyone loved it. Will definitely come back and will recommend to friends and associates.
I loved the Music City Hotel and the Metallica room. I was attending Metallica's 40th birthday concert at the Chase Center. Hotel was in a great location. Very clean rooms and very clean shared bathroom. The Metallica room had Metallica pictures on every wall. There was also a playable guitar, and amp in the room. It had so a great vibe. All hallways in the hotel were loaded with pictues of musicians. At night the entire hotel was so quiet. Can't wait to stay there again.
