Neighborhood is shady, the soup kitchen is just dow the street, but the hotel itself is very neat and safe. You need a key card to use elevator. We appreciated the cleanliness, the rooms were spacious and comtempory, comfy high end linens were very appreciated after all day of sighseeing and avtivities and the breakfast was higher end continental and...

I stayed at Cova hotel for 2 days and the staff were really helpful Michael Ednilao checked us in and upgraded us to a deluxe room i asked him why and he said "today is my lucky day". The shuttle to union square and fishermans warf were also helpful because i didnt have to walk around homeless people...

Overall a pleasing experience: The staff of the Cova was friendly, forthcoming and took a change of arrival date very friendly. The room was nice, modern and the shower great, the WIFI worked flawless. The breakfast was pretty basic, but it was included in the room charge and the 8th floor gave a nice look over San Francisco. Why not...

Without a doubt, the friendliest place I've ever stayed in. Clean, modern and spacious, The Cova ticks every box. Location was not an issue as it was close to everything and easily accessed by car (parking $25 a day - cheap) From something as simple as a restaurant recommendation, free shuttle to Fishermans Wharf to help with some tickets to...

Good ratio price/quality although the location was not so good due to the presence of a lot of homeless that made the area not totally safe. By the way, thanks to the courtesy shuttle, this point was not so critical.

I stayed here over the weekend. The hotel was friendly, quiet and the staff were really helpful. The room was spacious and modern. Really comfortable. Breakfast is a little basic, cereal, yogurt, fruit and waffles. As a single female traveller the location wasn't ideal as Ellis street is located near a couple of soup kitchens which made the surrounding area...

We went to San Francisco (from Texas) for a couple of concerts. Cova did NOT dissapoint. Lobby is small but very nice and inviting. I like the fact that you needed your keycard to use the elevator. Gave a good sense of security. Despite the location being in the Tenderloin, we had no problems walking back from The Warfield at...

We stayed for 1 night in Cova and were very pleased with this modern hotel. The only slight disadvantage is that the direct neighborhood is somewhat less appealing, with more beggars and homeless people than elsewhere in this part of the town. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was perfect. Breakfast on the 8th floor was much...

This was a good quality hotel with good sized rooms with clean comfortable beds. The free Wifi and complimentory breakfast added to the value and the restaurant is located on the roof area so nice to be able to look out over the roof tops whilst enjoying the meal. The reception staff were cheerful and helpful and the free transport...

We couldn't have been happier staying at the Cova Hotel. All negative reviews we found centred on location and had nothing to do with cleanliness, price or service. For the last 3 points Cova is faultless. Our flight was slightly delayed and on a foggy monday evening Cova's orange sign was a bright beacon in the dark tenderloin. Our first...
