Fabulous hosts--very helpful personalized recommendations for activities and dining; choice of several different cooked to order breakfasts daily; freshly baked treats & lemonade every afternoon. They even had a little gift waiting in our room when we checked in. The inn is located just a couple of blocks from downtown, but it's very quiet. Rooms are tastefully furnished. Lots of...

We stayed here for only one night during a trip to Portland in mid-October and wish we would've stayed longer. The location is perfect for exploring downtown and it was easy to find parking. Leigh and Matthew were amazing hosts. They were very responsive and provided detailed suggestions of what to see and eat both prior to the trip and...

We booked two rooms here, for two couples, in the Summer. We absolutely loved this B&B. I will be staying here again the next time I am in Bar Harbor. The hosts were phenomental. The rooms were lovely. The location is top notch. The breakfast is out of control - its too good. My highest recommendations for a lodging go...

We had an excellent stay here at the end of August. The location is very convenient to downtown Bar Harbor which made it easy to walk to dinner. Breakfasts were top notch and Matt accommodates the pickiest of eaters. Leigh was full of helpful information about things to do or places to eat. She was also willing to make reservations...

This B and B is amazing. We enjoyed two nights here on our fall vacation and by far this was one of the best bed and breakfasts we have ever stayed in and there have been many. You are welcomed with a home made baked treat and Leigh treats her guests like family. Your name is on your door and...

My wife and I stayed at this location for our honeymoon in Bar Harbor and we could not have had a more pleasant experience. Everything from the moment we pulled up to the Maples was wonderful. I've never felt more at home and comfortable in any kind of hotel. Matt and Leigh were phenomenal hosts. They are prepared for any...

We spent two nights at this lovely B&B in Bar Harbor. Every detail has been taken care of by Leigh and she makes you feel so welcome. From the welcoming cup of coffee or tea and a beautiful homemade cake or slice made by her husband which is available all day. The breakfasts were unbelievable with a great variation and...

A lovely B&B where so many little touches have been thought of to look after guests. Examples: Not just a selection of local guide books but multiple copies of the main Acadia guidebook and the main walking guide so that everyone can take a copy out for the day if they want to. Fresh home-baked treats every afternoon (the anticipation...

First, we witnessed the hostess spontaneously and unselfishly perform a very gracious act. At breakfast, a lovely older couple responded to the hostess' inquiry that they could not arrange a cab or a car service to take them somewhere they had planned to be. The hostess immediately responded that she would drive them. It was just a nice, sweet gesture....

On our first trip to Acadia National Park, we were attracted by the glowing reviews (especially about the breakfasts), and the Maples Inn lived up to all the praises that have been showered on them. At the start of our two-night stay, Leigh cheerily greeted us at the door, knew our names and gave us a thorough rundown on the...
