While I stayed for a quick overnight, this place is wonderful and quaint. The front porch just calls to you and the staff is A+; actually the most friendly people I have met. Very helpful and guided me with options for hiking, driving in Acadia and eating. Really a wonderful place.

We stayed at the basement room at the hotel in June 2016 which had a more discounted price than the rooms "upstairs." You can read the other reviews about rooms. For us, this hotel was great for 4 things that really made our trip memorable for us: 1) Location: Amazing location - very walkable to downtown, which is great because...

We stayed here in the winter. The owner was very attentive to making sure guests were warm and safe--sanded and shoveled after a wee ice coating. Our windshield was cleared of snow in the morning. First place I have ever stayed that had a special "makeup" washcloth, a brilliant idea. Room was very warm, clean. Recommendations for open dining options...

Old captain's home; very New England with a welcoming porch. Queen size room is on the small side, but definitely adequate. They have a computer/printer nook on the first floor, a book nook, and coffee/tea and lovely muffins & pastries for breakfast. During the winter, the first floor suite is used as a lounge; very comfortable with a TV, table...

Beautiful little hotel, clean and walking distance to everything! King room is very spacious and looks newly remodelled. Owner and staff are more than accommodating. Would recommend and definitely would stay here again!!

We had a room downstairs with King bed and full bath that was quiet and comfortable. The hotel is "vintage" with 18 rooms, and lots of charm. They have coffee and pastries in the morning...and a fabulous location. We could walk everywhere, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Acadia Hotel over Veterans Day weekend. We would recommend it to anyone and are planning on returning again. Service was fantastic, rooms were beautiful and clean, and it is the perfect location to town. Peter was extremely helpful and guided us on trails at the park and local recommendations.

Our stay at Acadia Hotel was absolutely perfect! We arrived in the early evening and were greeted by Peter, who was a fantastic host during our entire stay. He provided lots of tips for getting around, as well as great suggestions for local food and scenic spots. The hotel is so cozy and provides the feel of staying with friends...

This hotel is in a great location in downtown Bar Harbor. We stayed in the Dorr Mountain Suite with friends - the suite was spacious with a seating area and a dining table for 4 people - and a lovely (sunny) balcony. The bedrooms were not huge and little hanging space, but the beds were comfortable and it was very...

Stayed here for a week in October. Very friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms. A bonus for us was the 40A Tesla charging point at the side of the hotel, with its own reserved parking spot. Lots of small extras provided that we did not use such as loaner bikes, hot tub, etc. Not cheap, but a good stay.
