Older unit style motel with units facing the highway and up behind the main building. Refurbished mixing some tacky old with some generic new. Beds were O.K. Great grab and go continental breakfast you pick up in the office and take back to your room. Just a few minutes drive into Bar Harbor, town of no parking. Friendly staff and...

Adam created a very good first impression at check-in, with a warm welcome and helpful information about restaurants and activities in the area. Our room in the second building was spacious, immaculate, and very comfortable. The owners appear to have given great thought to providing everything a traveler needs. It was especially convenient to have two sinks when getting ready...

Shouting distance to Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor. A family run older style roadside motel with immaculate rooms, front door parking and the best continental breakfast I have encountered. Homemade breakfast sandwiches, steel cut oatmeal, bagels, blueberry muffins, yogurt and individually packaged hard boiled eggs! Fresh hot coffee and hot water for tea to boot! A family member always at...

We spent two nights last week at the Highbrook. As other posts have indicated it was very clean and the owners were very friendly. Nice take and go breakfast, suited out needs. It all worked out great for us! We had room 27 which was at the end of the rooms in the back building, it was very quiet. I...

My wife and I stayed here Columbus Day weekend and the motel was everything we could have asked for. The room was a good size, with two comfortable chairs, a king size bed with 4 nice soft pillows and a warm comforter. There were sinks inside and outside the bathroom. Two separate electric heaters, one for the room and one...

The motel was very nice. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful with ideas for activities, etc. The breakfast was called a grab and go but there was a great selection to take back to your room included hot oatmeal, pastries, bagels, and egg sandwiches, fruit, coffee and juices. The only drawback to this...

My wife and I recently visited Bar Harbor for the Fall foliage. Not ever having been there, we looked at a variety of properties using Trip Advisor. We finally settled on the Highbrook. We could not have been more pleased. It is an older Motel, but it is extremely clean and well maintained. The rooms are large and very comfortable....

My wife & I had an excellent stay at the Highbrook. The motel is immaculate, well-maintained, and conveniently located between Bar Harbor & the main entrance to Acadia. Nothing was spared as far as amenities: spacious room & comfy bed, flat screen tv, wifi, extra outlets for electronic devices, refrigerator, coffee maker, iron, quiet fan in addition to the heat...

This was a great place to stay in Bar Harbor. The room was clean and very spacious. The grab and go breakfast was way better than a lot of chain hotels. I would definitely stay here again. The staff was always helpful with any questions.
