This motel has a lot going for it. Close to the town and the park. Drive right to your door. Clean and quiet. Very spacious room. Nice continental breakfast. Friendly innkeepers. On the bus route. Not ultra modern or new, but the best of traditional.

Highbrook is an extremely clean motel!! It is conveniently located to Acadia and also downtown Bar Harbor. We liked having so many options for breakfast....hot sandwiches, hot and cold cereal, muffins, yogurt and more. The grab and go feature made it easy to take breakfast with and have it in Acadia. Also enjoyed having hot cider available in the evening....

When I booked this room, it looked like exactly what I wanted, a clean, convenient, and safe place to stay near Acadia National Park. That's exactly what I got! It was like we stepped back in time to the 1950's, a nice roadside motel with everything you need. The place was spotless and the staff was very friendly. It was...

We spent three nights at Highbrook Motel as we explored the Bar Harbor and Acadia area for our first time. What a delightful place! The staff were always friendly, courteous and eager to answer our questions, even providing information that we didn't need to ask such as how to use the road next to the hotel to enter Acadia National...

The place is clean but is an llder building with older fixtures, and signs of wear like paint rubbing off a window. Sounds from next room's TV, shower come through the walls. Heating provided by an electrical heater, one in main room and an ancient one in the bathroom. TV screen is small Electric outlets not placed around the room...

Highbrook Motel is a wonderful family-owned motel. If you are looking for clean comfortable accommodations with good customer service, and a take-out breakfast convenient for travel, this is your place. The reviews I read before booking said the premises were spotless, and those reviews were spot on. We spent nearly a week in one of the deluxe rooms, and truly...

The room was immaculate with a comfortable bed. The continental breakfast offered bagels, toast, muffins, fruit, egg sandwiches and oatmeal. The motel is close enough to Bar Harbor to walk to town but out far enough where you don't get the closed in feel of the town. The owners and staff were friendly and informative. We will definitely recommend the...

I haven't stayed in a motel since I was a kid, so it was kind of a retro experience that was a lot of fun. When we arrived, there was a mama deer with two babies grazing on the lawn! Very picturesque! The Highbrook is a nice walk to downtown Bar Harbor, maybe a mile? It's very convenient to town...

Simply cannot say enough good things about this property. My wife and I stayed in Room 2 a week ago and thoroughly enjoy everything about the Highbrook and the Bowden family. As noted in other reviews, the room was very spacious, impeccably clean with a nice comfortable bed. The locale to Acadia NP is most convenient and I loved the...

Comfortable, impeccably maintained motel reminiscent of those you may have stayed in while on vacation with your parents in the 60's. Spacious rooms with somewhat dated decor but excellent value for Bar Harbor, especially for people on the go. The steelcut oatmeal or grab and go egg muffin sandwiches were perfect for those heading out for a day of hiking...
