Bar Harbor is one of the great places in the US. This hotel is very well located and allows you explore the town easily on foot. The buildling is beautifula and the room was quite nice. I'm not a big B&B guy but this place was comfortable for me. Bed was very nice, breakfast was tasty and plentiful. I would absolutely return here.

This was a beautiful Bed & Breakfast inside and out. Our room was very nicely decorated and very comfortable. The breakfast's are delicious. We ate on the screened in porch every morning and ate with other friendly couples both mornings. Bob is an excellent host. The location is fanatastic! A two block walk to many wonderful stores and restaurants. At the end is the water where I took a whale watching cruise. So much to do and most of it within walking distance. Drove to the wonderful Cadillac mountain and ate at the Jordon Pond restaurant that is located there. Both should not be missed. Hope to return in about 2 years and bring our son and daughter this time. WIll definately be booking with Anne's White Column Inn again.

This is a great place to stay. Bob and Anne run a beautifully decorated and charming inn. The breakfast was delicious and very nicely served. The porch was a great setting to sit and relax in the afternoon. The staff was knowledgable about Acadia as well as Bar Harbor. I can't wait to go back.

We recently stayed here in Bar Harbor and would happily return anytime. Bob was a gracious host and the room we had was charming. Blackout blinds would be a helpful touch for the room we had as the very early morning sun is a direct hit on the window at 5:30 AM. The evening visit over wine and cheese was a nice touch and Bob was kind enough to break out his cranberry juice for a wine substitute for me. The breakfast was nicely done and we slept well each evening. It is a very short walk to downtown and we were able to walk to the sea-kayaking provider for an enjoyable sunset paddle one evening. We would happily repeat our experience here.

We stayed 2 nights and loved the location. We could easily walk all over the charming little town. Lots of information on the local area available from the host. There was a 'happy hour' each evening around 5 pm with complimentary wine and a snack supplied for all the guests. We really enjoyed that extra little treat, along with talking to the other guests. Breakfast was served in a beautiful glassed in porch. Breakfast was a little on the 'unhealthy side' lots of sugar, carbs and cholesterol but it was tasty. The rooms were beautifully appointed, pretty but simple. A nice place to stay, we recommend it. We totally loved Bar Harbor and area.

The host, Bob was an very accommodating man. He helped us find a great place to eat that night and also suggested what we might want to do regarding Acadia National Park. This Bed and Breakfast is a converted church but you wouldn't know it until you ask Bob to share the story. The room was nice and cozy. And the breakfast was not only very tasty, but also responsive to dietary needs.

Stayed here awhile ago while in Bar Harbor for a conference. Four of us stayed and all four of us loved it. The rooms were perfect for our use, which was to sleep and shower. Bob was our host and he was delightful. We arrived in time for evening cocktail hour, which happened promptly at 5 pm for all guests. Wine is served with light appetizers and is served on the porch. What a nice touch! We arose to the smell of blueberry pancakes and a wonderful egg souffle. Bob gave us recommendations for dinner - Cafe This Way - and it was delicous and well priced. After dinner we walked over to the Bar Harbor Inn cocktail lounge where Bob was entertaining guests on the grand piano. We were there in early June and despite being really early in the season, everything was open and there were…

I guess we got lucky, being able to do a last minute booking at this place. Usually, it appears that you need to plan several weeks in advance for summer weekends, The place is really nice, clean and well maintained. You are welcomed by the owner, very proud of his place. He's very attentionate to make sure that your stay at his place and at Bar Harbor will be very good. If you are lucky to get a room. I strongly recommend this place.

We stayed here for one night during a three day trip to Bar Harbor. We were greeted by the friendly owner, who told us about breakfast, asked about dietary concerns, and showed us to our beautiful room. After unpacking, we went out for a hike and a swim, and then returned for a glass of wine and afternoon snacks. We had a great nights sleep, and were greeted by an amazing hot breakfast in the morning. The only down point to our stay, was the small old bathrooms, that could use a bit of updating.
